Sorry. I misunderstood. I think the reason they are taking about it being for a sub is the fact that it can be used (turned on) at the same time as A or B. With A and B, only one can be "on" at a time. On another note, the talkback is nice too. Good luck. :)

Totally understand... ...but, $30-$35 per speaker vs $$$$$$$$. :) It might be worth a try. They won't need a re-cone. Also, if they sounded great before the damage, they should sound identical with new gaskets. It might have been moths, but most likely dry rot. It really gets the foam gaskets...

When you say surrounds, are you talking about the gasket which connects the cone to the frame? Also, are the surrounds (gaskets) foam or cloth? If so, why not just get them replaced? I'm assuming that this can be done with the JBL's. I just had this done to a set of woofers.

As MM said, you can control 3 sets of speaker(s). With set A or B, only one set can be on a time. Set C however, can be on with A or B, or C can be off. C is designated for your sub. Example: If you are listing to speakers "A", you can turn your sub on/off with the push of a button. Same with...

The Presonus Central Station has a switch/outputs specifically designated for a sub. And the unit is passive. I love mine.

War, It's not a law. Merely a policy to circumvent possible health issues. And a good one I believe. A law/ordinance of this type would be of a local (ie: city) nature anyway and would vary from locale to locale. "If you lick the mic, you buy it." :D
