I want to lay down some 70's funk tracks & jazz with my sonar software.what other equipment would i need to get the most out of my tracks?I have the bass & the soundcard with breakout box.would i still need a J-station? keep funk alive

my local computer tech told me that sonar may not work with winxp.I just wanted to know who is using winxp & whats your system setup?what mobo,soundcard,videocard,etc?
