    Lets talk pedals

Your welcome Well I guess I could copy and paste my remarks over there. The Rode NT3 what kind of mic is that, a condensor? Tascam US122 dont' know what that is either. I'm new to this stuff. So I guess you're using your PC for recording then. The drums sound good to me. I thought it was...

    Lets talk pedals

whew, that's one sad song. You almost had me in tears. Nice tune though. I had to turn my speakers almost all the way up to hear it loud. Over all sounds good. The guitar soloing sounds good just the right amount of distortion. The guitar solo sounds a bit muffled but maybe it's the effect you...

Carvin Mics on sale now, any Good?

I bought a bass amp from them which sounds great. But I guess their amps and other stuff are different then their mics. I've ruled their mics out altogether. Thanks!

Your link is bad. It starts to go to your page then it turns into a advertisement page. Weird. Try it again.

I still haven't decided which freakin mic

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah the B3 seems like a good versatile mic. I kind of wanted an omni directional condenser as well. With the B3 you get all three patterns, that's a plus.

I still haven't decided which freakin mic

Someone brought up the SP B3 I like the idea of the multiple patterns. I'm thinking why not go for the SP C3 it's a bit higher end with the multiple patterns as well. But just how good are these mics, ah that's the question...

I still haven't decided which freakin mic

Thanks everybody, I appreciate your help. I know you can't learn about these mics untill you start buying some and seeing for yourself. It's funny how you read something great about a mic in one thread and then read someone trashing it in another.

For starters I just got a Pro Co "The Rat" distortion pedal off of ebay. Anybody have one of these? A freind recommended it to me. I guess these are from the 80's anyway it rocks. It's a nice change of pace for my Fender Deluxe. My Fender Deluxe's distortion is nice too.

I still haven't decided which freakin mic

Gosh darn it why does there have to be so many mics to choose from? Secondly, huh... stereo Blumlein technique? Decca Tree technique? I don't know what the hell these are but they sure sound interesting. I'm sure there are some good inexpensive mics out there like the B3 that will work just...

I still haven't decided which freakin mic

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: How 'bout... Curiosity mostly. I want to see what my guitar cab will sound like with a condensor and also vocals. Sometimes I might want to record some bongos or something too. I know these mics pick up truer sound than dynamics, their frequency levels are broader and are...

I still haven't decided which freakin mic

Re: Re: Re: How 'bout... To be honest I did think the guy who wrote up the review for the NT1000 laid it on a little thick. He sounds a little to happy and crazy about this mic. Makes you wonder. Thanks.

Re: Re: I still haven't decided which freakin mic I know what you're saying. I usually shop at Guitar Center or Sam Ash I've never seen them available for a "test drive".

I still haven't decided which freakin mic

Re: How 'bout... Man that's a great review for this mic. I read a review on the Shure KSM27 from the same site and it was short and weak. Hmm Thanks!

I still haven't decided which freakin mic

Basically vocals, electric guitar cab, bass guitar cab, maybe some drums, bongos other percussion, regular band stuff. That's why I want an all around mic. Although I don't plan on recording my electric guitar sreachingly high. I probably won't reach the max SPL on the mic. (I think) I...

I still haven't decided which freakin mic

I'm looking for a large diaphram condensor all around mic in the 300.00 dollar range. You know the ones with the high SPLs. Iv'e come real close to buying a used one on ebay but some wise guy out bid me at the very last minute, the nerve of some people. ;) Anyway I've had my mind set on a...

    Ever Notice...

All my cat does is knock stuff over. She just has to jump on every shelf she can land on and inspect everything. If she weren't so cute I'd feed her to the dog.

Carvin Mics on sale now, any Good?

Well I already own an SM57, SM58 and an AKG D 880 or something like that. All dynamic mics. But I'm ready to try something new like a nice large Diaphram Condensor mic. I'm looking to spend about 200.00 on a used mic, on ebay. I've had my sites on an Shure KSM27 and now maybe a Audio Technica...
