If the tune was mixed that way in the first place, down to the stereo file you were trying to edit (or bring its volume down), I don't think it would have sounded better dynamically when you "pushed" the volume down (made the wave look "nicer")...if the dynamics were stuffed in the first place...
yeah....the original problem was particularly about the MP3 files, that's why I said that he should mixdown directly to MP3 from Cubase to avoid his .wav--->.mp3 conversion, coz that's what, I understood, gave him problems....but yeah...of course you wanna have a .wav as well....
cheers
Thanks Bear...I am considering a multi I/O card, that's why I'm asking about your system. If I have any further questions I will feel free to ask:) ...I hope it's OK...
Thanks again....
Cheers
thank you Bluebear, that's the answer I was looking for...with the 52 as the number of channels, anything under 8 channels per ADAT wouldn't make sense, but I thought I would ask, to make sure...
Thanks Blueabear...
I think you mentioned before in one of the posts that you use A Hammerfall!? If...
to get "a good mp3 quality" for a CD???
Do you burn mp3 on your final CD product???? I don't, and don't think anyone should..I burn .wav files to CDs.....
maybe you missunderstood what I said up there...I said why make a .wav file and convert it to mp3, when you can make an mp3...
right on....Mister ME is the man for this sort of job...why worry about it yourself....you'll probably have to get your CD mastered anyway...let him do it..it's part of the package anyway:D :D
why would you even mix down to .wav at all, and then convert to mp3???
All you need to do is, when you do the mixdown in Cubase VST32, just mix it down to mp3 file....
Select "mp3" in "save as type" drop down menu...and then in one below that select the quality of the mp3 file you want....very...
you didn't answer tex's questions which are important in order for anyone to give you some help...I'll try like this anyway....SPDIF is digital connection...

most desired is the one that works good..(not necesserilly the most expensive and top brand)
I am using a RICOH 16x10x32, and it works fine for me...but sometimes it doesn't like some blank CDs (usually cheap ones), so I stick to TDK discs...and it's ok so far...
good luck
""52 channel 24-bit/96 kHz I/O card: 3 x ADAT, 1 x SPDIF, 2 x MIDI, 1 x ADAT Sync""
When they say 3 X ADAT, what do they mean?? How many mono channels is in each of those three?? I'm not really familiar with ADAT.... Do the converters have ADAT outputs that connect to the ADAT inputs on the...
Does this card have A/D converters built in, or do you have to convert to Digital (via external A/D coverters) and then send digital signal to the hammerfall inputs??
Thanks
yeah I do exactly that, set it to appropriate output and everything....and did you notice how the GT-6 manual says that you should turn your highs and lows on your amp to zero, and have mids on 10!!!???? I reckon that's a load of crap....or maybe..not:confused: !??
yeah man...why does it have to sound that different (worse) on the line out???
When I slap the cans on....wooaahh..it's perfect..eventhough line out sound is excellent comparing to some others I've heard, I still dig the cans man:D
But with you and your Mesa. I guess it would sound...
