Have you looked at an Alesis Micron? It's a fairly inexpensive workstation keyboard. I like mine but I don't really use it much like a workstation.

Is it running XP or Vista... or something else? I've found that a gig of RAM is enough to get started when running XP but Vista doesn't work well running less than 2. Maybe someone else has a different opinion but that's me.

I think that was a bit harsh. It's not like he asked what the book was about. He asked a specific question about the book. Have you read the book? If you haven't I think it would be best to not comment on it. If you have I think that you could have been more helpful in your response.

The funny thing about all of this is that I was never even really looking for advice. I was actually just hoping to start a discussion about creative things people do with their home studios (yes, to save a few bucks maybe). Just curious more than anything.
