Since you already have 4 58's, why not just use those to mic yourselves. Another option you could do would be to just use the royer to record everything to a single track. you did say this was for practice right?
If you want to repair anything like that then your going to need to be able to take it apart and resolder the loose or broken connection. This is basic electronics repair 101 and you can do it with any kind of electronics that can be taken apart and put back together.
Recording at home is really a trial and error sort of thing. I meant there questions that can be asked and answered but those come up as you go along.
Step 2: download/install drivers for interface.
I have to go with the opinion of this isn't really a strat. I mean it is in the sense that it was made as one by fender, but this feels like it was designed for a grindcore band. Does anyone know what kind of capacitor it has? This guitar feels more like a cheap ibnanez(not all ibanez's are bad).
As for my training I'm not a natural singer(just like Bowie!) meaning prior to lessons I couldn't even match pitch so when I sing I rely heavily on raising my soft palate or an audience that can't hear my nasality. Even though I hear my nasality on the recordings my band mates still think my...
Yeah exactly without it I sing fine. I think allot of it has to do with that I'm a trained vocalist and when I play guitar I tend to be more focused on playing the guitar then I am the way I sing.
Tascam us-800 is pretty good inexpensive interface with up to 6 mic/line inputs. I only paid 150$ for it. If there is a music store near by your house that sells used gear you should check it out. Allot of these kind of places have inexpensive used mic's for recording. Any interface that you by...
I sing and play the guitar at the same time when recording because this is how the songs are performed. Because I'm playing and singing at the same time its more difficult to raise my soft palate to get rid of the nasal sound(I normally sing with my soft palate raised when i'm not playing...
Turn record monitoring on for track 1. The button which looks like two speakers should be visible just to the left of the 'arm for record' button. It may only appear once you've armed a 2nd track though, so you have to play around with it a little.
Ok so i'm building a knock off les paul and i got this really beautiful neck. The only issue with the neck is that is an 1/8th of an inch too thin to fit into my guitar body. Does anyone know if you can shim it and have good results?
Well I also have a first act guitar that I tricked out that only has one humbucker pickup. I mostly just wanted to know what other people had heard, because with the tele it sounds the closest to a humbucker when its using both pickups. I know that the humbucker sound is probably different but I...
Ok so I have a tele with single coils that I usually play with the switch in the center position using both pickups simultaneously. What is the difference between this and using a guitar with just 1 humbucker?
I also get sick of people who cover songs that everyone already knows. If you wanna do a cover then do something obscure so people don't immediately dislike it because its not the original.
