    QSR FX Outputs

I have a QSR and I'm using all 4 audio outputs. I mainly use a User mix with all 16 channels with my sequencer. I have set it up with channels 1-8 to the main outputs and channels 9-16 to the aux outputs. All channels generally use the effects of channel 10. However, the effects of both channels...

    Over The Top

BTW. I just discovered you have to sign up with a name and password to download from this site. It didn't used to be that way. They changed it. If you don't want to go to the trouble, no prob. Thanks for playing if you choose to do so!

    Over The Top

Hi gang! Remember Boston, ELO, ELP, Styx, and all those other great (and not-so-great) arena rock bands from the '70s? Here's a new MIDI instrumental with all the cheese you can handle. Please feel free to give a listen and post your 2 cents. Thanks...

    USB MIDI causing audio noise!!

Wow, finally somebody knows what I'm talking about!!! Thanks for the reply, bgj. I've installed the latest SB drivers and it had no effect at all. I'm currently using a work-around so that whenever I do any audio I route the MIDI data through the SB Live! card and switch the path through a...

    USB MIDI causing audio noise!!

No, my USB port is just a port on the back of the tower itself. I have two of them. It doesn't matter which port I hook it up to. There is no other way to hook up the interface besides USB. I have checked the IRQ's and everything and there are no conflicts between the SB Live! and any USB...

    Oooh. Actually, I meant the drums to sound like that. I used some really cheesy dance-like drum sounds and then applied a phaser plug-in. I was going for a "beat-box" type of thing. Guess it worked. :}

    Akwastic

Hey, thanks! There is supposed to be a little anticipation at the bridge. There shouldn't be any problems in the second half, though. Maybe it was just a glitch in the download. Thanks for listening!

Here's a short little instrumental piece that I've been fooling with. I supposed it could work as film music or a TV theme. Just something to practice my MIDI techniques on. It's not much, but let me know what ya think. Thanks gang! http://sharehouse.xoom.com/dnload.php3?FILE_ID=433827

    jazz?

I'm a jazz drummer and I lead my own quartet in NYC that I write for. I don't usually do jazz specifically in my home studio though because it's usually just me (kind of hard to get that group interaction thing going!). I do use a notation program to make my lead sheets and transcriptions...

    USB MIDI causing audio noise!!

Hmmm... I don't know. I've looked at the MIDI settings on the sound card, but I don't know how to change anything that would seem to fix it. Right now, I don't even know that the sound card is the problem. I use one hard drive for both processing and audio, so it could be that the drive is...

    USB??????

Does anybody out there have any experience with recording/playing back audio with a USB audio interface instead of a soundcard? How about using a USB audio interface and a USB MIDI interface at the same time? Bad idea? I have an Opcode MIDIport 96 and it's wreaking havok when I try to record...

    USB MIDI causing audio noise!!

I am running CWPA9 on a PII 350mHz w/128mb RAM and a SB Live! card. I recently bought an Opcode MIDIport 96 USB interface (I know, they're out of business). The problem is that when I'm recording any audio, if any MIDI data is being sent through the interface at the same time (even a simple...

That's my trusty Alesis D4. I would love to get a DMPro one day, but for now I love building kits in the D4. Thanks for the nice comments so far. Glad you liked it!

    converting midi to wave

It depends on what your MIDI sound sources are, but all you need to do is set up an audio track(s) and record your sound souces while they are playing the MIDI data. In the case of outside keyboards/modules, send their audio signals to your line in on your sound card (a mixer comes in really...

    Red's Revenge

Please check out my latest creation. For those of you who dug "Fatal Flaw," this is a bit, shall we say different. This instrumental piece was done about 98% MIDI and was almost totally inspired by bassist Tony Levin and King Crimson. Please enjoy and, as always, let me know what you think...
