What was the final call on the Blue Blueberry cable?

I have both a Kiwi cable and a Monster 500,and the Kiwi beats the Monster IMO.It looks better too.

Best "cheap" mic(s) for recording Acoustic Guitar?

I'm not saying it's the best option, but it is one worth checking out:the Oktava MC012 with either cardioid or hypercardioid caps;got mine for $100,and it sounds good on my 12 string.

Most economical way to add rack effects to a VS90

On the VS machines, the AUX send is a stereo send,so if you want to feed two FX,adjust the AUX pan on all tracks you want to go to FX A to "L63" and adjust the AUX pan on all tracks you want to go to FX B to "R63". Of course if you want to send to both, leave the pan centered. You'll have to use up...

Using Reel to Reel for Mixdown from Digital Multitrack

Both Revox (Studer) and Tandberg used to make 1/4" machines where each channel was half the width of the tape.At 15ips they sounded very good.I wouldn't mind having one now.

Art Tube Pre Amp System Anyone?????????

Dunno about the TPS,but I'm real happy with my Tube PAC.It matches well with a Rode NT1,and until what I do with them starts paying the bills,is all the quality I need.

    DIGITECH vocalist units

The Studio Vocalist, discontinued 2 rack space unit, was the best one of the lot.I still have mine, and I did a bunch of gigs with it as part of a one man MIDI band. The Studio sounds a lot better than the cheaper ones, especially the last version, the EX.At gigs, most folks dug the sound,I never got...

    Acoustic purchase advice

Seagull guitars all have solid wood tops and are a lot of guitar for the price.

    Cheap Elec. 12 strings

The Dano is good for the price,or you could get a cheap acoustic 12 and put a magnetic soundhole pickup in it.

    Acoustic Pickup?

If you can see your way clear to spend just a little more money, take a look at the LR Baggs iBeam Active. It installs under the bridge inside the guitar,so the only thing you'll have to do is enlarge the end pin hole to secure the input jack.Someone I know just put one on his Eric Clapton...

    best mic for the buck

I've had good results with the Octava MC012 which is a small diaphragm condenser. The mic cost me $100 with 3 capsules and a -10db attenuator.

    12 string Bang for Buck

A salesman in a music store told me that none of the under $1K Fender 12 strings have solid tops, wheras the S&P and the Seagull do.

    12 string Bang for Buck

No,no question.I just wanted to let anyone who cares know that a good sounding 12 string is available (the brand, not my particular guitar) for not a lot of "dosh." BTW,the "tweak" I spoke of would not be to correct any warpage, but just to conform to my personal preferences.

    12 string Bang for Buck

So I'm sitting at home and it hits me,wow,I don't have a 12 string! I mean,I've written songs on 12 string,I've made records with a 12 string,I've busked with 12 strings.I DON'T HAVE A 12 STRING!!! (That's one of the down sides of moving a lot,too much stuff to carry.) So I get in the car and go...

    Ibanez bass

In your shoes I'd go with the Yammie.I have an RBX260F (fretless) and for the $199 it cost me,I've had a lot of fun with it.The neck is really comfortable and the sound doesn't suck either. The new 270 with the extra pickup is cool as well, but I've seen a couple in stores that would need a...
