The mics i was using were the CAD C9's that come with the cad pro stage 7 drum mic kit. i was also using a MXl 990. I also have an AT2020 and AT 2021. along with a GXL1200

a few weeks ago i was getting a good kick sound. And now i cant even get it to eq to a semi decent sound. All i get is alot of rumble and i cant seem to do anything with it

JG96- still a good pun haha. Greg- all i have inside the kick is a small pillow. Similar to a pillow that you would put on a couch. not a cushion but a pillow. I know im banking on an amazing sound but yea. idk why i cant get my kick drum to sound right anymore. Its driving me crazy.

Yea everything is live recording. For the acoustic i use 2 CAD C9 cardiod pencil condensers and a large diaphragm CAD MXl 990. And yea i thought to kick sounded a little weird. Im not used to equing it the way im trying and ive adjusted the tuning on the kick aswell.

Is there any way i can take a live sound like "my" personal kick sound or snare sound and save it and than have it show up on the library like the midi instruments would?

Im incredibly new to ableton. Im useing Ableton live intro 8. Im curious on how i import external sample sounds like a kick drum or snare drum ETC into my library in order to use them? Any help is beyond appreciated. Also im on a HP pavillion laptop.
