no keith, I just tired logging in with Chrome, same thing. It's something with the account.
Anyone happen to know who the admin is here? I tried sending an email to the contact link at the bottom right of the forum. But I know it's a holiday.
Yes Keith.rogers. The T.C M1 reverbs, sound amazing for the price. Yes, everything connects via (one) S/PDIF in/out cable. Audio and midi all go thought his. I can use the XLR in and outs, but but I would still have to hook up the midi to automate the M1 in logic's environment. But the S/PDIF...
I did notice that I had no email setup in my profile, not sure how that happend unless there was an update to the fourm years back. So my account was not activated till just today. I don't know how I've been using the fourm the last two weeks. Anyway, I new have an email setup and it's the...
Hello all
Not a new member, but been away for a few years.
I'm looking for an administrator. I have no edit button to fix my posts. I'm horrible at proff reading. I usually have to fix my post about 10 times after it's posted.
@keith.rogers
If you're FX unit is digital, why would it go though AD into your computer? It's going into the computer (which is already digital) and then being mixed in your recording software digitally, then being converters from digital to Analog going out of your interface to your...
Just curious why more external FX units and even interfaces don't take advantage of more s/pdif I/O on the back? I don't know if optical ADAT is considered the new alternative, but I've heard from a few people that it can suffer from jitter. I won't speculate on that because I don't know. But as...
EDIT:
I got this resolved. I just noticed there was a separate Clock and Input setting for Digital. Don't know how I didn't see that. For some reason the spin knob was pulling up a lot of the same settings as the up an down arrows so I didn't notice it.
Yes, I've been looking for something like that in the settings of the T.C M1. But there is not much in the I/O setting screen other then the rate and Digital vers Anolog setting option. Also according to the T.C manual: When it detects rate signal from an external device, it clocks off that...
I think I found the connection issue, but this battle is not over. That is when I plugged in the spidif cable, I had originally matched red to red and white to white. I think the red's on the Fireface UCX II adapter are outputs just as the red's on the T.C are outputs, so they needed to go to...
I can't get this to work. I did it in Logic 5.5 when I had my Delta 66 with no issues.
Using the S/PDIF AES adaptort on the RME Fireface UCX II
I can't seem to send a signal to S/PDIF, the external FX unit will not show an input. The only input I get from S/PDIF is though software. If I'm...
Edit - Update -
Here's a quick and simple review, any questions welcome.
I ended up getting the XTi2 1002.
The setup goes like this.
I have an (active) BlueSky SUB 8 MKIII line level /balanced running into the Crown amp, then to a set of passive 200 watt - 4ohm Event ASP 6 monitors. Note: when...
I'm seriously considering the XTi 1002 because the reviews seem to be more solid. In regard to the XLS I've found a few sincere sounding reviews of people complaining that they returned it for a QSC because the low end on the XLS was weak. Well who knows what else they had going. It also looks...
Thanks mixit,
I guess they're doing this because of new regulations. I just found that out today btw.
I was on the phone with a Crown tech, (actually two different ones today). I was hoping that the XTi series had quiet fans like the XLS, but from what the crown support said, the Xti2's are...
I would spend time reading up on sound reinforcement before buying anything.
I have a book on sound reinforcement and it's so mathematically and scientifically complex (for me at least) it makes my head spin. I'm sure there are basic guidelines that anyone can follow, but it's not as cut and...
