    Nuendo to Cubase

I'm going to be doing some tracking in the new studio in a couple of months, and I want to prepare myself for any problems. The studio uses Nuendo 3.x as it's recording software and I am running Cubase SL 3.2 (I think) at home. I am planning on taking my external harddrive to the studio and...

    WTB: Headphone amp

I'm waiting on delivery of one of these: http://www.ozaudiopro.com/products_hr4.htm I picked up an Alto from my local shop. I was going to get a behringer, but they didn't have any. The Alto is not very loud and very distorted, granted I am running Moreme's and it is recomended that the...

    Delta 1010

There should be a pdf manual, and it gives excellent step by step instructions. You need to assign inputs in device setup (I think, I don't have the software in front of me) Good luck

A flaw in our songwriting process...

He has some sort of degeneration thing. I can't remember the exact name. He basically has tunnel vision, he says it's like looking through a tube the size of a dime. He wears glasses for his near sightedness in the tunnel. He is legally blind though. I gotta say it's a pain in the ass, 'cause we...

A flaw in our songwriting process...

This is actually some good advise, thank you. And your last comment about just don't put the vocals in, we did that. In fact it was the first song on our last EP. It's a rather long song all instrumental until the end. There is a six or so line verse/chorus and that's it. I kinda liked it, and...

Listening to one of your mixes MASTERED.

I gotta tell ya. I was doing some tempo tracks this weekend with a band that I'm recording. We were talking about mastrering the albumn, and I suggested Massive. We checked out the before and after samples, and we liked what we heard. The stereo image is huge, the articulation of the instruments...

    Sl3 Vs. Sx3

hmmm, I don't think it is. If I run Drumagog w/ latency compensation it is behind. Also I think I read in the manual it is not in SL.

Drummerbones Just bought Drumagog, off of Drummerbones. Sweet deal! Easy transaction.

    Sl3 Vs. Sx3

Some of the things I miss as a SL user at home and SX/Nuendo user in the studio is, the ability to reverse polarity on tracks via the mixer, the latency compensation, and the ability to route external effects. I don't do any suround stuff. SL is working well for me though.

A flaw in our songwriting process...

hmmm, this is interesting. We do "jam the shit" out of our tunes. It's really difficult when you have an A.D.D. Drummer (aren't they all ;) ) to stay on task.

    New monitors for me!!

I ws running Tannoy Proto J's and a Hafler TA1600. But my TA1600 "crapped out". I ended up going w/ the Dynaudio's. I tried really hard to be impartial in the store. I listened to KRK V8, KRK v6, Tannoy reveal 6d, and BM5a. I was listening through a Presonus Central Station. I found both KRK's...

    My band's first mix...

i'm playing with my new Dynaudio Speakers today and listening to some mp3 clinic stuff, and I thought I would comment. The beginning, I likey. it kinda turns a little Blink for my later on, but I'm more into heavier stuff right now so whatever. I find the guitars a little grating for me, I...

    New monitors for me!!

I have heard that. I am going to mindfull of it. They also have ADAMS at the L&M I'm going to, I hope they don't try to oversell me 'cause they would probably win :) The studio that I track at uses KRK V8's and Tannoy 800's w/Bryston power. I'll be using these monitors @ home for mixing and...

    New monitors for me!!

Well not yet, but the Dynaudio BM5a that I ordered are in. So I'm going to do a shootout tomorrow evening. I'm focusing my looking at the Dynaudios, KRK V6/V8, and Tannoy Reveal 5a. I will post after to tell my findings. Is there anything that I should look out for? My opinion on this whole...

A flaw in our songwriting process...

Thank you, as far as complexity or genre busting, that is a touchy area. I am a fan of the genre that we play so myself and some others (our fans if you will) find something special and different in our songs. But I totally hear your point, and can understand your view. i guess when I say...

A flaw in our songwriting process...

I've been on Homerecording.com for many years, and I didn't even notice there was a songwriting forum. So I'm in a punk/metal (or some such genre) band. We are currently working on new material for our new CD and changing our name. The Brewkowskis was cool and funny when we were a Blink 182...
