the ART is cool....but it is really one sound..it's not bad, but with the sansamp you get a lot of options..i've used an ART for direct bass recording..the tube mp studio version...

this thing is awesome..also great for acoustic guitars..my friend plays a musicman 5-string thru one of these and the tone is unreal...FWIW

i played a G&L recently that was awesome..of course it was twice as much as the fender...

say a song is 4:00 long...you have a lead vocal track that spans the entire 4:00...you go in and add backing vocals to the chorus..so that track starts at 2:00 and runs until 2:30.. how do you add blank space to the front of the backing vocal track so that it starts at 0? it's easy to take...

i like my Art studio mp.........have used it for everything (up until i got my mackie board this week)...but i still think it's great..honestly. i've had it for almost a year... it took a while to really know how to use it though....i made a mess of things in the beginning.... i might try...

you can try this too: press and hold the <shift> key, right-click a .wav file, select "open with...", then when the list pops up, make sure the "always use this program.." is checked, scroll down untill you see WMP and select that... it should change your preference..(what mixit-g said as well)..

i used to not be big on taylors...then i got a 2001 314ce limited (imbuia back and sides..like their basses)... i just finished recording it and it sounds great... guitar--->AT 3035LD condenser into an ART tube MP into a yamaha AW16G. no effects on the guitar at all except for a duplicate...
