i must agree that MXL treats their customers right. awhile back the stand adapter to my V57m microphone broke and i emailed them to see if i could buy a replacement.
they sent me one for free (no charge shipping too!) and it got to me quick!
props to mxl.
hey all... i was just considering finally making a worthwhile investment in my recording "studio" that wasnt new microphones or gear... ive got a registered version of cakewalk 9 that came with my aardvark q10 and so i was interested in going the sonar 4 route since it wouldnt be that much $$...
i used ntrack 3.3... but i had problems with it on my new computer. anyways, now i have like... ntrack (bought)... cakewalk 9 (came w/ q10)... guitar tracks pro (i believe same thing but came with gnx4)... and ive used adobe audition a lot as well.
some people may like having 'lots of tools'...
im going to get a power conditioner rackmount power strip for my recording setup.... now only will they protect your equipment against power surges but they are supposed to "clean" your ac power.... how much they actually do i do not know, but i know a good clean, solid electrical level is...
is it an actual upgrade? i thought you just got a price savings on the actual product for being a loyal user. ...i wouldnt think new software would be too efficient if it was just built on top of the old stuff... ?
sorry i cant help you much with your question... something id want to know however is the supported resolutions and color bit depth that the card allows. it looks kinda like an older card so i might be somewhat wary. then again, its only $15 so thats kinda nice.
ps: i thought id chime in...
the one i have is like radio frequency i think... microsoft desktop. its too cheap to be bluetooth and it doesnt have to be line-of-sight IR.
thanks for the reply...
anyone else have any thoughts?
i was just curious if it would be a bad idea to use a wireless keyboard and mouse for recording purposes.... I don't know particularly why it would, but i know my behometh CRT monitor liked to add some unwanted "coloration" into my audio signals before I upgraded my audio cables.
any thoughts...
you got one NEW for $400?? dang....
i paid more than $400 for my used one....
..and now that they've gone out of business i cant get $200 for my 24/96!
really.... interesting... from being on this forum i thought that the md441 was supposed to be the most amazing mic evar lol.
thanks for your thoughts.... will it work well for vocals? vox and guitar are what i need improvement in most.
thanks man i really appreciate your input.
okay, thanks DJL! just wanted to make sure. it doesnt matter anymore anyways though... i thought i might have had a chance to get a 44 for cheap but not anymore.
is there a huge difference between the md421 and the 441? i WAS looking at 441s on ebay awhile back.... like i said, im getting a...
1 pair of behringer headphones i got for free
1 old studio headphones that isolate really well. (dont know what brand)
1 pair of sonys (dont remember which.... they were like $60)
meh
as long as i can hear it
I finally got around to listing this unit on Ebay... its pretty much in mint condition and it works PERFECTLY. the biggest compliment i can pay this unit is that i upgraded not to a different brand but to its bigger brother the aardvark q10 (needed more inputs and ouputs).
it starts at $200...
