"El Shaddai" how is the mix so far?

Sounds fantastic here. The use of delays and reverb give it a huge sound, like you might hear in a movie theater. I got no gripes with this mix at all.

If I Could Save You - Final mix

Bravo! Outstanding. I did think the vocals on "Calling The Rain Down" were a little dry, but that's not a problem, just a taste thing. Let us know when this album is available. This is high quality.

    That's some mighty fine pickin'

Original song by my sister... hoping to get thoughts on production and mix.

Great stuff. The mix is very balanced and the clarity is outstanding. The delays and reverb sound very tastefully done to my ears. Very nice vocals. The guitar tone is really good. Just one thing I might change. When it gets quiet near the end, I can barely hear the acoustic guitar, and it...

Any one interested in a collab effort?

So I got some really nice tracks from DeWhitt (thanks Dave), and TeyshaBlue has some others brewing (Thanks Mark). Unfortunately, Mark had a little house fire near the studio that fried some wiring, so things are a bit chaotic for him right now. Probably be a while before I get my itchy...

Rockabilly Jazz - first try at mixing

Really cool sound. Sounds like the 50's for sure. I think the vocal level is about right. I like the slap echo effect on the vocals. Cool bass line, which I think could come up in the mix just a slight bit. Nice playin' on the guitar

Just Fine - Original Guitar, Piano, and Voice Track

Hey man, great stuff. I think the vocals are just about right. The piano is fine to my ears. This IMO is primarily a guitar & vocal folk number, and the piano just adds some nice backing. It's plenty loud enough for me. The guitar does seem a bit heavy in the upper mid freq's which makes it...

Psych Folk tune written, performed and recorded by mua. Enjoy.

My immediate impression is that this has kind of a vintage Beatles ring to it. Nice mix. My only nit would be that the electric guitar you have panned dead center seems to me to be fighting with the vocals for space. I personally like the center reserved for vocals, bass and kick. That's...

    In Her Eyes

I like the song. The instrument performances are good. If I had one nit it would be the vocals. They just sound quiet, timid, and dry compared to the rest of the mix. Not sure what processing you have on them at this point, but that's what I'm hearing.

Any one interested in a collab effort?

I'm laughing a little bit here. I tried for 20 minutes to get her to play to a click track and it was no use. She could not do it. Finally, I just turned it off and said just play the tune the way you would on stage. I went through last night and mapped out the tempo and there were at...

Any one interested in a collab effort?

I posted this song earlier. Thought it might be fun to add some parts. I hear possibilities for mandolin, fiddle, dobro, keys, pads, drums, even some electric guit if tastefully done, with enough tremolo to make a grown man cry. Lots of possibilities If you're interested, let me know and...

Country for the Common Man - A Parody

Sounds great. Especially love the fiddle, banjo, pedal steel, and tele parts. Nice tight performance.

    Mix critique please?

I agree with what's been said. Another option for studio work is vocal tuning software. It won't help you live, but it can be really transparent if done right for studio tracks. If you want to, send me a wav file of the vocals and I'll tune 'em up for you and send 'em back so you can see if...
