Why? My head's in the same place with respect to the monitors and sound treatment is designed to eliminate standing waves. If I can cut down on those won't I be better off than I am now?

I second that question. I have access to some 8 lb and want to know if it will do what 703 and 705 will with respect to low freq. I noticed that the Sound Absorption Coefficients are actually lower for 705 than 703 for most frequencies.

The Fireface looks great, but to get 16 simultaneous tracks I'd need an adat front end. This is 2 grand easy. Sweetwater's catalog hints that the Firepod can be stacked. If that's so, $1200 might do it.

I called them. I talked to a guy named Elliot in sales. They do not sell the card separately and the LT will not work with the 1010 breakout box.

Not the LT. I was on the midiman website. They have very little. If you can buy the PCI card that comes with the regular 1010, that's a new development to me.

I've tried different XLR's and other mics in the same chain (dynamics only so far) don't cut out.

I'm thinking it may be a loose ground caused by someone pulling too hard on the xlr cable. Any ideas?
