    roland xp-80 dr-660

How can I create parts on the Boss DR-660 and then get the XP-80 to play them using the XP-80s drum sounds? I'm MIDI retarded, but I know I'll need a MIDI cable. It's the settings on both machines I'm confused about. Can anyone tell me the basics at least?

    looking to get outboard efxxx

This past weekend I have tried out a Lexicon PCM70, Yamaha SPX1000, and a Roland SRV330. I'm lookin to get some outboard gear cause I am tired of my inboard efx on my Roland 1880. Of those 3, I liked the Yamaha overall, regarding the price and amount of choices, so I'll probably get one of...

Shoot, the FAQ on the Equi=tech page is really helping me understand some stuff. This is good. Question: Which one should I get first, the voltage regulator, or the balanced power unit? Question: If you have those two, then that is all the protection you need, so you dont really HAVE to...

    power conditioners

Ok, I guess I'll list my situation here, as see what you come up with. I need to power a ME-1NV, 737sp, RNC, Rosetta, Sytek, Distressor, Headphone amp, roland 1880, and an amp or two (Boogie Mark II), and of course 2 powered monitors and keys sometimes. Why would someone need a 20amp over a...

    What chord is this?

this is correct. the inverted 5th Barre chords always sound pretty meaty to me, but like others said, if overused , it can get redundant.

    power conditioners

I guess the answer to my question is: "buy the cheapest furman/other you can to use as an organizer of sorts because any money you will spend above that is wasted, until you reach the "real" conditioners at around $600"?

anyone think the Monster (or anything in the 200-300 range), is worth the extra $100 from the $80 bargan bottom furmans or whatever? is it a waste of an extra $100?

    power conditioners

I've done a fair amount of research and I've come up with still needing a cheapish (under $200) power "conditioner" in a new rack basically for organization sake. I'm looking at the Monster Power Pro 3500 vs whatever Furman has in that range. Am I better off just getting the cheapest option...

    3630

How long were the pieces he played? Oh, yea, I wish I never sold my 3630. If I could get that EXACT 3630 back, that would be awesome. But no other one.

what do you pros use pad for?

I agree. I was just saying that sometimes you are overloading the mic itself (at very high spls), so the problem CAN be there.

what do you pros use pad for?

I thought a mic pad was to actually keep the Mic electronics from overloading. If the preamp is clipping, just turn it down.
