i'm in the process of making just such a change... copped an old soundcraft... will run individual channel outs to i/o of ad/da (likely a motu 24i/o) then back to the line ins for analog summing....
personaly i dont know anything about opal... but that looks like the channels from an old studiomaster... wouldnt be real hard.. might be a pain inthe ass for one channel... and frankly if it is the studio master it aint all that...
gthis is doable several ways maybe... but before i say for sure ya gotta get me somemore pix of the wiring harnesses for both boards... that is to say the bottoms of both key decks... i suspect that you could simply plug it in with some lite work for the wirring... worst case?? take the keybed...
sometimes they're for different purposes...
#1 small generic speaker... if it sounds good here so will the bommbox...
#2 good to great small speakers... not fatigueing... excellent detail....
#3 big mommas... impress the clients...
step #1.... RTFM.... sorry man it all starts there ya gotta spend some time with it... which is not to say no one will help... far from it... and these guys cubendo.com seem to think they're the auth ority on cubase... and probably are... oh and there shoild be a pdf copy of the manual on...
first decide what software you like... you aint gonna get shit dun if the software seems cludgy to you... you could do wosre than reaper as has been recommended... i have cubase... all the manus have specif ic usergroup sites... check them out... and while there start checking what enterfaces...
i've sold and owned haflers way cool "budget" hifi... they repond to cap upgrades real well...
re: swr.... i've worked on a couple4 and they were well built... they were their own company at that time... amazing low end from a couple of 10's... was that the redhead??? or strawberry blonde...
i'ld look at the audiotechnicas...those pro 37's that were mentioned are a real good mic for the dough... and A-T's quality controll is real high so if the serials are close they'll basicly be matched ...
they're pretty specific to the platform... possible exception being the TC powercore series i think and then not many... if you've got a second compiuter you could use it as an effects or VI machine.... there's also the receptors... google VEPro if ya want to run a slave machine...
i took a quick look for that sticky with the schemo link but couldnt find it... it's gotta be ther somewher... thats where i got my 5oo schemo.... and yours is nothing like the delta... i used to have one... i've worked on 200's but without it in front of me i cant tell ya much...
sorry rick are we crossing wires here??? are you saying you dont recommend them or are you questioning the way i put it??? as cant recommend it too much... sounds alittle off handed i suppose... i do recommend it highly... admittedly an appeal to authority is a weak argument but guys like jim...
