    guitar processing software

I will third the J-station...along with J-edit I am one happy camper. I used to have this thing from a russian guy ... GuitarFX and it was cool in my very early stages of computer oriented guitar amp modelling stuff. I haven't tried it in a longtime though, maybe someone can give it a whirl...

    Q: Why does metal suck?

All a matter of personal preference I suppose ;).

    How fast is everyone's computer?

My system has exactly the same numbers, except I use n-track. It's been awhile but I do believe I had upwards of 80 tracks (don't ask :D) before any signs of glitching at one point.

    Q: Why does metal suck?

There is no end to the different genre name's out there (within metal). What's metal to one 'metalhead; isn't always metal to another 'metalhead'. For example it might be more like Hard Rock :D. OK well, I'll bite, I like gutteral brutal vocals, but it has to be done tastefully :p . Some...

    Q: Why does metal suck?

Negativity is always so productive though. Anyhow what is Metal? Can we be any more General?? Can we have a real debate/argument/thread that isn't an utter waste of time??? Well, not everyone I guess...

    Why is metal dead?

Metal is definately not dead, just kinda underground, lying dormant, waiting to unleash itself upon the masses once again after all the Pop fans are totally turned off by Britney Spears after finding out she was actually born a man. :p

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on the real deal either, it gives you that 'hands on' feel that plugins just don't do for me. I am no expert with these things, and haven't even tried a lot of them out, but I do know the Blueline plug's work. My point of view is I want my recordings to sound...

I have used some of the Blueline plugin's with reasonable sucess. You might want to try others, however.

Some Plugin's... Click Here Eh! I've heard some of the n-track plugins aren't so great, but have no personal experience to base that on.

The coolest thing you ever picked up at a Garage sale?

A noname wee white amp from the 70's for 50 cents. I used it in conjunction with my peavey rage for many years as my 'mini-stack' :p

Trying the Demo, have some ?

well I meant free updates...if you want and stick with 16 bit format, you pay for it once only. If you upgrade to 24 bit then yes it costs money. Not a heck of a lot though. Like 20$???

Trying the Demo, have some ?

I think the minimum one ought to have for Ram in their machine should be 512 mb, if not a Gig. 256 has its limits, and I am thinking this is where most of your problems are cellardweller. Although sometimes certain plugins are really crappy and will crash even those with lotsa ram, in which...

Pc Based Daw For Under $700

FWIW I have the A7N8X deluxe. Nice board. Coupla quirks I have had (very minor) include a CPU overspeed error, easily resolved, as well, the latest drivers for the onboard produced all kinds of popping nastieness, so I merely rolled them back. I did not look further into the problem than...

    pc drum programs

Ditto that :( . Another one out there which is extremely cheap is called leafdrums, although I had stability problems with it. I really should have waited and bought fruity I think :D.

    Popping sounds?

Buffer settings should be in the preferences sectiion somewhere, I dont have cakewalk experience so i cant tell you exactly where. It should be in the cakewalk program yes. A funny thing happened awhile back when I updated drivers for my onboard sound on my ASUS mobo. It started making...

    Popping sounds?

When I first bought my delta card, I was getting nasty popping sounds from it. The soundblaster before it worked fine. In the end it turned out to be a problem with the motherboard, via chipset. Solution; buy a new computer :D. Make sure the soundcard you buy is nicely compatible with your...

Trying the Demo, have some ?

Re: Re: Trying the Demo, have some ? Yes to the above. What do you mean by count off ? :D. If you are looking at pc based recording, then along with the programs you are looking at you should also look into getting a good soundcard. Soundblasters aren't really recommended but do function...
