I right click on My Computer, then select Properties. At the bottom of the list it says; AMD AthlonXP 1800+ 1.54 GHz 256 Mb RAM When I put this thing together last Feb, I had installed 512 of RAM, (two 256 sticks) so is one of these sticks burnt out? If not then Whut the Hell?

    Favorite guitarists/soloists?

Chuck is definately one o the best, rest his soul, damn he departed this earth wayyyyyy to early. I really really like Dave Mustaine too, although some of the last ten years worth have left me wanting more. Ritchie Blackmore has to be the most underated guitarests' out there, and one of my...

Cound someone please check my material out?

Listenin right now...first comment, you should probably post this in the MP3 clinic, you will get a lot more responses there...guaranteed. Second comment (listening to Death Grip), I like it, nichewise. There is a lotta hiss at the beginning and at other spots on the acoustic...

    Tracks "bleed" together.

I can always use this time to improve my typing skills :D. Oh yes, the soundcard mixer has to be the culprit, unless by rare possibility you have a multiple input soundcard which is flawed internally...

    Help me understand envelopes please!!

Maybe the numbers are completely wrong, but whats important is if you move the node back to normal volume height, that the volume is normal again. If so then the numbers are purely out to lunch. If not, then there are serious issues :D.

Help........can't hear what I'm playing on Ntrack

I think the problem here is that you have to make sure you have the right option selected in the M audio control panel (Im guessing its the same for all m-audio stuff). On the patchbay router tab, make sure Monitor Mixer is selected.

N Track has encountered a problem..

Maybe its not so muchg a problem with n-track but more likely your hardware. Have you upgraded all of your drivers for the soundcard for starters?

real drums played like crap still better than a machine on my tracks

real drums played like crap by me I can totally relate to this. I've had a DR 660 for a coupla years, a wack of different drum softwares', but the crappy kit played by the crappy drummer (me) works so much better. Perhaps its because I am recording the other instruments crappily too...

Your top 10 Metal albums of the 80's

Yea Motorhead definately deserves mention...Killed by Death, oh yea... Ian Gillian was a far better replacement for Ozzy than Ronnie Dio as far as I was ever concerned. Hmm, I don't know what you would call Sepultura's Arise from 1991, I guess it's just as much Death Metal as it is Thrash...

Here might be a stupid question but...

Alrighty, I have taken the resonaters and put them on as beaters, and beat the shit out of em for a day, and all is well. They sound 100 times better than the beat to shit ones that were in there place. I never bothered to put the beatup batters underside either. As well, upon recording I...

Here might be a stupid question but...

Hey thanks Dexter, much appreciated. I guess it wasn't such a stupid question after all. For now I will deal with what I have, but to ask another question, what kind of skins do y'all reccomend? I realize this may be purely subjective, but I know squat about the subject. I guess I like to...

Here might be a stupid question but...

...I don't really care :p. I have a fairly cheap kit, and the beater skins are worn out. I can't afford new ones at this point, so can I just switch the beater and resonants'???

    Cutting/Deleting portion of a wav

Ahh, well...If I read that right, the easiest way for me to delete a chunk I don't like, is to put it in non destructive mode, click the mouse pointer icon at the top (not the crosshairs/plus icon), select the area in question, and click the scissors icon. Or Ctrl-X. That was too easy, so...

    Behringer Stratocasters !?!?

Thats probably only the 39th company to copy the Strat anyhow, so who really cares :D. With the amp that price is pretty damn hard to beat for bottom of the barrel startup kits.
