Yeah, we have something in Common there, I to have been sorta pulling them drums way up in my soundscapes lately, I kinda got to a point where I was like, hey this is not my sound :D so I'm trying to ease back a bit now.
I pretty much feel that this style and era of music fits well with less...
Cool man, I'll let you know once it's available to you.
We did use alot of Tape slapback throughout the record, but I'm pretty this one is down to me being slightly of time when I'm singing.
We did the both the falsettos and refrain double tracked, and left them panned hard left and right.
I...
thanks man, definitely what we're going for.
The Organ is a Hammond, but not a B3 (can't remember the name of the model) it also had Leslie, and it really sounded pwn, we brought a Nord Electro over for the recording, it has some good hammond sounds, but it never saw any usage at all :D
The Moog...
Sure thing, it will be released on the 10 of March in Norway, I'm guessing about a month tops later in the US.
Regarding the delay you speak of, are you talking about the Chorus? I doubled my Vocals at that spot/ and on the falsetto parts in the verse) If I'm not mistaken the only thing added to...
Recorded in 10 days last spring at the Cowshed Studios in London, 24 tracks of tape, mastered from 2 track tape at Fluid Mastering in London.

I'm at work listening som system aint the best, but it sounds like a bad conncetion at some point, try a fresh mic and a fresh cable, if it still messing about, it should be your interface/pre
Thanks for the replies guys, I'll try having a look at the connections.
It does not distort, signal just vansihes completely.
I'll also try leaving it on with no signal in for some time and see if it behaves the same.
So I've got this 2 track I've been using it as a "stereo" tape delay, it sounds awesome, but usually after 10 minute one channel drops out completely, am I driving it to hard ( dont think so) it works perfectly for like ten minutes no noticeable distortion or anything.
I kinda feel that you have to pay quite lot to get a LDC/sdc, that beats a Sm58 or 57 in quality, as I think they are very good at what they do. However as they do different things even the cheapest condensor might feel like a step up or like a new playing field. It certainly did for me.
For 300...
Perhaps getting into the mentality that music is not perfect in most cases, and accepting a few errors if the take had the right vibe and energy.
I can't even keep time on a tambourine, but I think this goes for most instruments, I feel repeated takes (to get the one) loses something, something...
And last, there is a total difference in what kind of daw you own, most home recordrs seem to read into the 192bits or what ever it sayd bring them home, when a 48 digidesign would bring them miles from what they are using.
Sound costs money thats it, sure the homerecording hero can make a...
Worked like a charm, great sounding versitale and very nice looking. Tried it on the 2 bus and on bass, also tried it as a limiter on a pre master. Very nice indeed.
Yeah, I plan on going with a low ratio at first and just hitting the needle lightly.
There's no mix knob, but there is a variable high pass filter, which can be quite usefull.
Sure I'll post back my impressions.
Thanks man, I feel that youtube and compression has not been friendly to it, looking forward to getting it on vinyl in march, mastered from 1/2 tape :D
