    Fostex E16

Well, I'm just in la-la land as I noticed a fostex E16 1/2" 16 track on ebay. The guy that was selling it lives 30 minutes from me and I've bought a pair of event 20/20's,and a hafler p1500 from him in the past and I was quite satisfied with the merchandise. So,off to bidding I went and I decided...

Alesis RA 100 or Hafler P1500?

I agree that the T-1600 is an excellent bargain over the RA-100 but if I had a chance to get into the P series for not much more than the T series and be able to pick it up in person which was what I was able to do than there is no question as to what amp I was going to buy.Not to mention it...

    My RNP is here...

jimistone, the right way to handle gear purchases with your spouse is to buy the rnc yourself and expect to get yelled at for a little while, than tell her I would rather have you get me a rnmp for xmas.Works for me all year long...:D

    Home Recording Equipment: Upgrade Advice?

I would not recommend the NT1 as my first choice for all around use.I'd save a little more and step up to the Audio technica 4033 which is a very versatile mic for approx. $299.00 or from what I've been told you may want to look at the SP C1 which goes for $199.00.Both mics are well worth the $$$$.

    monitors and power amps

Sounds more like a pa system than a reference monitoring system. You need a amp between your sound card and monitors (speakers).Anyway's you would hook up 1/4" cables from the layla's outs to your power amp inputs, than your power amp outputs to your speakers which in most cases are going to be...
