I have a Powermac G5 Quad 2.5GHz. It runs Pro Tools well, but beware you will not be able to go any higher than Pro Tools 8 or Leopard, so unless it's a very good price, it's a bad buy.

Sounds to me like a USB problem... What other USB devices do you have connected to the system? Try removing everything except for your keyboard, mouse and Mbox. Does that work? My other thought is the USB cable which you're using. Have you changed it recently? Do you have another one you can...

Well you inserted a MIDI track.... Just insert an instrument track in exactly the same way. Easy.

Instead of using a midi track, use an instrument track and you'll be able to do exactly what you want. The alternative is to route the output of the midi track to the input of an aux track, then insert the plugins on there. An instrument track is essentially an aux track and a midi track combined.

Avid have just bought Euphonix. I would probably wait until something is released by Avid to run with Pro Tools. However I'm pretty sure I've heard of people running the MC control with Pro Tools. Do a search.

You must use one of the supported M-Audio interfaces. No way around it. Period. You can use the midi interface with Pro Tools. Not sure about Steven Slate Drums - check their website.
