    ok alright man i use cool edit pro software (adobe audition 1.5) it works great once you get the jist of it .if you want really good quality ,you also need a mixer you can buy one for like 30 bux on www.musiciansfriend.com and you already jhave a descent mic . so there you go .

    300 Dollars !!!! dude dont even spend that much ,you can prob. buy an MXL 990 condenser mic,and it comes with an MXL 991 overhead mic for drums for only 100 dollars .

    Best all round Mic

    best alol around mic dude definetly a shure sm57 ,the only thing is ,there is no mic that is all around and will pick up good bass ,so a shure sm57 ,but you need and individual one made just for bass ,and shure sm57 is about 90 bux which isnt bad..

    drum mix problem

    need help huh ? yea umm ,the kick drum mic is freakin aweosme you dont have to change that as far as i am concerned ,for the toms ,you can use pg58's for all of them ,the snare ,i recomend an e609 silver from sennheiser ,and for overheads ,MXL 991's .

    your bass lol i know this sounds funny ,but you if you have a drumset ,you can loosen the snare alot where its just touching and ,idk hit i guess ,lol but dont hit it too hard ,and keep hitting it at a constant pace ,later
