i just saw these....are these good deals?
Tannoy Proto J Plus/Hafler TA 1100 Monitor Package 380
Hafler M5 Package + The TA1100 amplifier 380
or would it be better to just spend 400 on a pair of
Alesis M1 Active MKII
whats a decent amp for under 200 bucks to power these monitors? Also, knightfly, the yamaha receiver.....why shouldn't i buy another one...i've been happy with the one i have the HTR-5250, if that means anything....
i've come down to the last few buys to complete my little studio....the monitors....
i was going to buy active monitors to not have to worry about the hassle of an amp but now i realize i have no money.....
so i've decided to go with the Event 20/20, they are low in price enough for me to...
hey a coffea can is a musical instrument if you use it right......i've learned to respect djs a lot more because of how difficult it really is.....now they of course have to do their own stuff otherwise.......
I hear everyone talking and comparing so many different brands of mics, mixers, pres, ect...... now a lot of these people also say they're on tight budgets(aren't we all).....
So how do you know about all these different products?
I know you can read about them, but how can i get my hands on...
o rings always get messed up or something....try that moon gel stuff it works great(if its the same thing i'm thinking of) you just put it on the drum, any drum and it'll just stick there. I've also seen people put them on cymbals to control volume and tone control.
i did that once to my splash that cracked(everyone i know that had that splash cracked it) and it didn't do anything but put two holes in the cymbal...but i heard it worked so i tried it
also, its not how HARD you hit the cymbal, it's how fast. Try getting better technique from your wrist and fingers and you'll be amazed at how loud you play without lifting your arm up. If you're going for "emotion" then just look like you're playing hard....give them a hard core face or...
seems like a lot of good bands are turning pop....to a certain extent....i feel that bssm was definately rhcp greatest album and shows just how great they can play and was a step away from their other albums...when californication came out, i figured it was their way of showing all those "pop"...
another way is just listen to some of your favorite drummers, if there is a particular splash sound you hear, go check out the ones they have. I particularly like the 8" A Custom Splash From zildjian and the Avedis 10"
i second that......if you're still breaking your cymbals...it's your own fault....i can't count how many times i've seen drummer ask a saleguy ,"uh...i like to hit hard and my cymbals break.....what cymbal won't break?" and i almost feal like goin off on them but then i remmember my pills and...
i second that.....cymbals are not meant to be broken.....if you've breaking them for this long....and keep buying new ones....well you have to learn how to hit them. I've broken one splash before....and since then i've worked really hard on stick placement and crash motion. Just "smacking" the...
Ok so i am planning on getting a cport dsp2000 audio card that has an external breakbox with 10ins/10out. Can i use the insert out on a Mackie CFX20 mixer with an TRS cable to go into the breakbox, then to the computer for sound processing, effects, and go from the out of the breakbox back into...
