The neck will most likely drop right into place. Now some necks use an offest screw pattern, so you want to avoid that. Offset screw pattern is where the 4 screws are not all lined up in a line.

I've made this point befor, but will spit it out again. A whole lot of the actual sound quality is controlled by your rig, not by your guitar. Yes yes, hotter or warmer pickups are hotter or warmer. BUT once the signal hits the processor it is subject to being broken down and "processed" in the...
may as well upgrade the nut as long as you are removing it. Pick up a blank bone nut, measure sand and file. Machine head hole size is not going to change unless you are talking about a six or more string bass. So no worries. As far as screwing up the integrity..... a Bass neck is designed to...
opps,,,,, and for most gear that is only a "half rack" or smaller. Most manufacturers of those products will offer a "rack mount kit" for 15-25 more bucks. Even many small mixers will have an available "rack mount kit".
Rack rails are generally something you would buy if you were feeling all crafty and wanted to build your own box or rack mount something in a desk or wall. I think every rack (official consumer rack) I have seen has rails. These loose frames you see are cheaper and designed for you the home-user...
Crate is evil. Not a single solder joint I have ever seen in one of them (and you have to open all crate products to resolder) has ever been solid. Four different friends have brought me four different Crate products now with the same complain.... channels or contacts failing.

Do it do it. Don't trust a one of us. We are evil.... you like? it likes? Plays good, sounds good, feels good, price is good? Looks good? Whats the worst thing that can possibly happen? you find a few months down the road its not still perfect....sell it. Thats one of the beauties of getting a...

I let it go myself. I sit and listen through the tunes with them. If theres even one reasonably good ear in the lot... they tend to bash each other for missed riffs.
I have been shaking my head at the whole loop thing. I simply have pondered the actual value of loops, and moreso the uncanny market for folks to buy them. Thus far in my life I have either played the sound/pattern I wanted, or done without. I guess its like bowling... some folks actually see it...

My first amp that actually looked like one was a cute little Peavey Decade. I can't lie it was more than plenty for my small apartments. Bright mind you... but loud
