Just a question... When you mention "tightening" are you referring to the timing or the sound? The reason I ask is that the timing of the bass playing is already very tight with the drums, but perhaps you're hearing something I'm not...

Cool combination of electronic & acoustic sounds - nice balanced mix. One very minor (super-picky) thing that's probably just a personal taste matter is the snare sound... it really suits the song, but it kinda sounds like a one-shot sample, or at least a sample with not many velocity...
