all I can say is - when I used the Asio4ALL driver with my Alesis multi mix - latency was also a nightmare.
I upgraded to the fast track pro - which replaces your internal soundcard (I don't think my alesis did) and latency isn't an issue anymore.
well, you can either bend the pitch higher - or lower. You have the choice =0
Also, you will be able to get the "Cricket" sound - (i'm not sure what it's actually called)
It's in the solo of the Dream Theater song "under a glass moon".
And umm - in the youtube guy Jerry C's song "Rock On"...
So, I have enlarge selected track on - and I like it - so I can keep tracks small .
But I'm not understanding the sizes on some of these - I end up with mixed up sizes - for example one project I'm working on - the guitar track is Tiny, not even half an inch from top to bottom. Clicking on it...
Don't like muse... but I gotta ask -
I've only recently learned about double tracking - and have been playing with it a lot. I can't believe the sound I'm getting from my guitar! it's so rich.
Muse doesn't double track?
Kcearl - have you ever heard of the Dance Hall Crashers?
I'm not familiar with them, but my friend was playing a live CD by them in his car - and it sounded amazing!
haha, I love pods too! =0 can't find the power chord for mine though
I hope I'm not going to make any enemies over this - but although I agree it seems irrelevant to the thread I really enjoyed SSG's post and agree with it almost entirely.
Actually, I usually find his posts very informative -...
nope. in the drum editor -
http://vid.firepixie.com/skitch/Cubase_LE-20090126-071234.jpg
Ez drummer is placing a diamond in between 2 lines - which makes me impossible to place anything at the exact same time as it. Although it allows me to quantize up to 64th notes - it's still ending up...
thanks so much suprstar! You're really helping me understand this - my frustration is being lifted!
I think I'll be leaving hold peaks forever on.
But now for the dumbsest question so far - what are the point of the ticks? If the number represents it - what do these ticks, or even for that...
It's strange - I feel the opposite. I don't lose timing -
But I've found I sing much better while I'm playing an instrument. (not just from hearing - but from recording as well!)
I don't quite like the sound though.
I just can't seem to sing - and only do that.
for free? I don't know who you think we are buddy...
Hehe, kidding - But I am absolutely at the moment practicing at such a thing! And wouldn't mind at giving a go at your stuff..
Although, I can't say it will be a "CD quality mix" I can promise I won't try and steal your...
well it's being played just after the snare. I'd like to put it right ontop of it -
so - with this drum editor guy - is there a way to add swing ontop of it?
I know that the little fruity loops type thing has a little bar to do it. (can't remember what it's called right now)
I thought T-racks was one single Insert though?
Does it come as like a combined package so you can insert any of the separate effects you want onto a track?
So, I've been having a lot of fun playing with the midi "Drum editor" as it seems simplest to me -
But if it was possible to add some swing into a beat I create on here?
secondly
I've only recently got ezdrummer, and started dragging and dropping some beats I like - But continued to remove...
thanks guys =)
This reminded me of another question I had though (Gawd, I should really keep a pen and paper around and just get them all out at once)
When I create an FX track, should it be stereo - or mono? I've been using mono because I've been sending my recordings done in mono to them...
is vocsteady just a compressor?
I'm looking at that and thinking "That looks a lot simpler than the compressors I've been using!" but it has to be limited - right?
Okay, after thinking some stuff over and playing a bit more with Reverb I have a few more questions - and hardly felt it fit to make a new thread.
I was watching the videos in the "How to mix a song from beginning to end" thread - and noticed he was inserting reverbs directly onto the tracks -...
Yea, it seems useful for the clip signal - but for the numbers?
It's impossible to tell where they're going!
Please tell me I can turn that off too.
Also - another complete noob question, but is this a good way to tell where my signal is peaking during tracking? (with the mixer in cubase)
as...
oh god, I've had ONE lucky strike in my entire life - and I think I can still feel it in my lungs..... They really are toasted-
But yea, I was going to say water too.
