    building a webpage

Cool Page was cool back in the day, but after two years of college with my major as web design. I hate it. With all the stupid browsers and different versions, it's hard to make a site that will look the same for everybody. I have Microsoft Developer installed on this computer and I'm getting...

    CD Covers and Labels?

No, I suck at this. The second printer prints a whole lot better, but I still don't know what software to use. I'm trying to send the first printer back, but the guy doesn't want to give me all the money back. I'd end up paying $50 for the broken printer. I am thinking about going with the Epson...

    Micing the singer's PA?

Ironically, he doesn't use effects at all. He just likes the sound from his speakers.

    Micing the singer's PA?

The singer I recorded a couple of times refuses to sing directly into the recording mic. He wants to sing into his PA system and wants me to mic that. He recommends (but knows nothing) using my drum mics (2 Octava MC012s and 2 SM57s) with the Octavas in the back of the room and the SM57s up...

Recording the crowd when recording a show?

Thanks for the article. The show is tomorrow night. It's still going to happen even after the shooting. Hopefully we get something decent.

    Is a Digidesign 001 good?

Right now with the Aardvark Q10, he uses Sonar 2.0. Is the Pro Tools that comes with the sound card the real Pro Tools are the LE version?

    Is a Digidesign 001 good?

My friend has an Aardvark Q10, but I want it. He said he would only sell it if he could get a better card. He likes the Digidesign 001 because it comes with ProTools and he thinks ProTools is the greastest thing ever. How well is the 001 compared to the Aardvark Q10? If he was going to replace...

Studio in my garage? (Rooms are already partially built)

The rooms that are build are full with insulation and they're permanent, but I still need it to be a garage. I would like it if I didn't have to build anything else. I still park my cars in there. I want it so people could play where my car is normally parked and it wouldn't sound too horrible...

    Combo Jacks...Switching or Non-Switching?

I just got the right screws to mount the combo jacks to the plate. Is there some trick to lining up the holes? I don't know how to drill the plate for the screw holes without just guessing and that seems like a really bad idea.

    CD Covers and Labels?

What I like about the Epson is the resolution is better and it's made for CDs. Hopefully I can get rid of cheap cardboard caddies.

    CD Covers and Labels?

Nope. According to Canon, I need a new ink cartridge and little holder thing. Do those come together, or do I buy them seperate? I bought another BJC-6000. Hopefully that one prints better, so I can use it now. Then, when I get more ink and stuff, I can use both printers and print twice as fast...

Studio in my garage? (Rooms are already partially built)

I'm a little confused. What room should I make what? Here's what my garage looks like now:

Studio in my garage? (Rooms are already partially built)

A couple years ago, my brother and I got some drums. We built a sound proof room in our garage. It's not totally sound proof, but when someone plays the drums inside, you have to walk up really close to hear them. Next to that, we were going to build a bathroom, so we didn't have to keep on...

Recording the crowd when recording a show?

Early Friday, a fight broke out in the club we were planning on recording. 2 people were shot. If there is still going to be the show we were going to record, I highly doubt we get a real good crowd. One guy was shot in the face. He had a hole in his cheek. The other guy had some problem with...

    CD Covers and Labels?

I just got my CDs. I'm still trying to figure out what program I can use to print them. I got some kind of high gloss clear stuff. Is that going to work?

    CD Covers and Labels?

My CDs will be here tomorrw. I'm going to print some just for me to see how they turn out. Most bands around here only want a few made. The band I just recorded wanted 10. I talked them into 25. They want to sell the CDs for $3 or $4 and don't want to spend $5 on packaging for the CD. I told...

Recording the crowd when recording a show?

www.FindSounds.com is pretty cool. I will probably end up playing with those just in case the crowd isn't all that enthusiastic. The mixer is actually off to the side. The bar is on one level, then you go down about 6 steps to get to the floor infront of the stage. The stage is a couple inches...

CD burning software to normalize and everything?

Is there a program that can normalize all the tracks and then burn the CD? My friend was trying to burn a CD and it doesn't take wavs. He has to covert them to MP3s, then burn them. He said he wants to program that lets you normalize, but he can't remember the name of it.

Recording the crowd when recording a show?

How would I record the crowd at a live show? I was going to plug the soundcard into the mixer and get the instruments from that. No crowd noise is picked up, though. Would I just stick two mics on stage pointing at the crowd, or would I place them at the back of the club somewhere closer to the...
