Is a Flat Response Graph Mic ideal for vocals?

If you're happy with it, why change? If there are specific things you dislike, then you will have a better idea of what type of response graph you're looking for. Most of those response graphs are smoothed out approximations.

    Question....

What software were you using to record before? And what were you using that one time that you used a pre-programmed drum beat? There is lots of software that contains MIDI sequencers, some of it will cost some coin, some less so. There is a Cakewalk specific forum on here if you want to know...

    Stalkers!!!

I usually look over the forum without signing in. I only sign in if I decide to post something. I always notice that when I'm not signed in, there seem to be a lot of Mormon ads on the site. (As soon as you sign in, the ads disappear.) But there are always pictures of people just doing really...

    Alternatives to broadcast standards

I'd like someday to get one of the big broadcasting dynamic mics for vocals (MD421, SM7, RE20, etc.). Sadly, even though they're considered affordable mics, they're out of my reach and will be for quite some time. Of course, my eyes are always peeled in the used market. Anyway, does anyone have...

what made it "click" for you?

I am dumb and almost deaf in one ear! But I'm not aiming to make this my profession. No matter how bad my projects are, I still enjoy it.

what made it "click" for you?

All of my projects seem to be missing that certain "something". Even when they are as good as I can them, there's still something that they seem to lack. They just don't "pop" for me. What was it for you that made your projects start to "click"? When you started getting the sound that you were...

    USB mixers

Does anyone use a USB mixer as an interface? I'm just looking for something I can use in the field to pick up a few tracks here and there with a laptop and then bring back to my main system. Any recommendations? Behringer Xenyx? Alesis Multimix? Others? Thanks!

AT2035 or PG81 for drum OH?

You have a pair of both of these mics? Why don't you try each of them out and decide which you like best? I've never used a 2035, but I own a PG81 and I can tell you it's not that great. Go with the AT2035's.

    Vegas Pro 10?

Does anyone use Vegas Pro 10 strictly as a DAW? The original version of Vegas (which I still use) was intended to be a multitrack editor, but it has now become more focused on video. I was wondering if it's worth upgrading to the newest version or if it's now useless as a multi-track audio...
