This is what I would do:
1. Go to your mixer view.
2. On your 5 vocal tracks change the output (default is output 1-2) on each track you want to Send to No Output.
3. Then I would select all 5 vocal tracks (click and drag across the tracks to select them all at once).
4. Once all 5 vocal...
i have an actual copy and a serial number because I own Logic. That doesnt mean I can give it to everyone here at HR so they can use it. The store needs a multiple-user liscense from Apple.
but really, you're getting a pretty crazy set up for free and I am jealous
if the store has licensing for that, the i guess it's legit..
If they just have a copy and are letting employees take it home and install it...that's not legit. It isn't up to the store even if the store owns that copy - it's up to Apple, and I'd be willing to bet that Apple will call it...
Are you talking about monitors of the same type?
In short, the answer is yes regardless. It isn't a good idea. If they are the same pair, then you wouldnt have a stereo field to mix in. If they are just another set of monitors that you are going to be switching to and from, then you'll lose...
if you want it to make noise you have to load a software instrument, not an external midi track
Try creating a software instrument track and choose an instrument
do you want to hear the sounds coming from your keyboard or use software instruments in logic?
If you want to hear what sounds your actual keyboard makes, you have to make sure you're keyboard is connected to an output (from the keyboards output into a mixer, amp or something)
External MIDI is...
Thank you both for the replies. You've been really helpful.
I was considering quoting the entire project for the future, but I think I'll stick with my hourly/block rates.
Basically i was just curious. Thanks again!
I meant to call this thread something else....oops - however ---
I had a small battle in my mind regarding where I should post this question. I went with the Newbie forum obviously.
I am just finishing up my humble studio's first album for one of my clients. I am really excited about it and...
it could have been a divebomb effect too. I've seen the effect on a lot of different bass pedals, but not as a stand alone. I know the older digitech pedals had some of that stuff on them.
it sounds like there is something wrong in your environment window for midi, i'm not sure though. there's a few reasons this could be happening. sorry mate.
the main difference is transfer rate. firewire is typically faster than usb 2.0. the faster you can transfer data, the less you have to worry about issues like latency.
