Hi I have for sale a vintage Tascam 246 cassette portastudio. It has had new belts, idler tyres, and pinch roller fitted it has also had all switches lubricated and the heads have been de-gaussed. It is in excellent working condition given it's age. I am open to offers for this machine.

Does the 2488 Neo have pitch control. I used to find it very handy on the old cassette based portastudios Thanks in anticipation

I have just had a DMT 8VL shipped by courier and I don't think they have been too careful handling it. The neon display has parts missing especially on the hours and minutes (it worked before the courier got hold of it ). Can this be caused by a hard knock and if so can it be rectified...

I have a Tascam mf p01 4 track recorder that I use for rough sketches of songs. It now won't power up -nothing, dead. The power adapter is OK. My question is, is it worth repairing and does anyone know what may be wrong with it (I know a bit of a long shot). Regards :mad:

What make of hard drive So what brands/size have you used successfully. I'm just trying to establish what makes of hard drive will function properly in the 8VL before I make my purchase.

I have a DMT 8VL and feel a bigger hard drive is now needed. I have sourced a suitable drive but how difficult is it to change. Will I need any software etc: to install. Thanks in anticipation
