You might try PM-ing WhiteStrat or Eyema_believer. WhiteStrat did a great instrumental with a POD X3 (I think), and eyema_believer did an entire song with just his toneport I think. Like I said...PM them and find out for sure.

If you have no firewire ports, you'll need to buy a card that goes into the PCMCIA/Cardbus/whatever slot on your computer. Firewire is firewire, usb is usb.

Seriously though. The guitars are passable, but virtual drums (unfortunately for the likes of me who has no space/money/tolerant neighbors for a drumset) will take some serious work to get to sound natural enough. Especially cymbals...
Thanks for the tip. I'll probably end up going with the Mackie then. I really don't need all the inputs on the Firebox. I might end up needing the MIDI at some point, but I'm sure I can find a dedicated unit for that for less than the $100 extra it would cost.
