Ok thanks man. My piano teacher happens to be a good friend of mine so we're going to go down for a few hours and she's going to test out keyboards for me. We'll try the Yamaha p80, and some other keyboards in a similar price range at this other store. If something comes up that she thinks...
Money is an issue of course...
So i don't think the p250 is an option. i don't know the price but i'm guessing it's quite a lot more than a p90.
The p80 was 1800 in Canada, now it's 1350 at this local place on permanant sale, the p60 is 1150 i think. And when the p90 comes out it will be...
Ok thanks. after some work i've managed to remove some of the delay
Now can anyone recomend me some good synth programs to pick up?
I'd like some with good real piano sounds, not just cheesy synth stuff.
I've been using the KX experimental drivers for my SB live! value for the past while. I find the sound quality is better, and it works better with logic audio, but the midi has a huge delay, which makes playing a midi controller impossible.
I heard someone suggest that maybe that was because i...
Well granted i have no idea what i'm talking about, but what i meant was.
Just a regular RNC, exact same components and exact same knobs and everything, but just put it in a bigger box so that it fits a full rack space.
Would that cost a lot more, or just the extra money for the metal to...
So you would recomend waitin for the p90 and not getting something like a kurzweil or general music board?
I'm in canada so i won't have access to the p90 for 1-3 months after it hits stores in the US.
Is general music an Italian company?
I was just told today that a store nearby has a few keyboards by them. They said they are excellent and blow away the likes of the yamaha p80 and it's comparable cohorts.
Any input on this theory?
Dual mono?
Do you mean 2 RNC units?
I believe they sell for 175 per unit at Mercenary Audio. Retail is maybe 199. It's a 2 channel unit, half rack, but both channels use the same settings.
So i guess a fair price for 2 units is 350.
Off topic.
I'm looking into a keyboard to start learning to play on. The p80, or the new p90 have been on my list of keyboard to check out.
What do you think? Is the action a bit heavy? Obviously you like it or you wouldn't have bought it, but still..
I don't think it's in stores yet. I think they just put the info for it on their website maybe a week ago. It wasn't there a short time ago.
I'm going to go to a piano/keyboard store nearby that has a lot of different keyboard and some used stuff, i'll see what they have in my price range and...
I know the powered versions are the Yorkville YSM1p's.
They are also supposed to be excellent. I'm planning on getting a pair asap. I know they are made in Canada, and long and mcquade owns yorkville, so they are mostly sold at Long and Mcquade stores.
I know there are other places to buy...
