Is it normal to push EQ harder on modern rock drum tracks?

^^^ +1 on this I sometimes do the same thing with some tracks (as needed). It works great in some instances, but sometimes not so much. Mostly depends on the circumstances, like what needs to cut through/stand out, etc... For example, boosting the kick 15db on a soft jazz track might not fit...

Clicking sound that records with sonar 7 producer edition

I think you just have your metronome set to "play while recording". :D There should be a button somewhere on the interface to turn it off. I suggest reading this for more info, as I'm not familiar with that DAW. Metronome in sonar is driving me crazy

    Dark Hollow Ground

Sounds nice :) But something I noticed is that the vocals seem a bit muffled. Not sure if that was intentional though. The organ is a nice touch.

    Lookin' for a bass

I thought it would be fun to pick up bass guitar on the side, so I'm in the market for purchasing one. Only 1 think stopping me: I have no clue what to look at. The only thing I know to avoid is a bass that says "Junior" on it. And I'm on the cheap, so I found a few basses on GC used. One of...

Question about using Suprior Drummer 2.0 with Roland drums

I'm 98% sure the answer is yes. The reason I'm not 100% sure is because I've not tried it personally. If you are connecting your headphones (or monitor) to your computer or laptop (or whatever is outputting the sound of Superior drummer), you'd be able to hear it while playing. If your...

    Mastering in 15 minutes!!!!

We are doing it all wrong. To heck with our ears, we can master tracks in 15 minutes! Just slap a multi-band compressor, more compression, cut everything under 30 hz, etc, and voila! A quick "mastered" track! Absolutely brilliant. I'll never spend a single dime on a trained...

Pro Tools 10 to Logic Pro Help!

See if he can export those tracks into wav (or similar) files for you. Thats the only practical way I can think of. I heard there are a few converters out there, but I have no clue how good they work, and they are very pricey. Good luck!

Oh.. Well you haven't seen the Logic forum then. ;) To the OP: Logic is great, you'll like it. It's advanced, but Justsomeguy hit it pretty good: Similar interface and workflow, but much more advanced tools and features. Oh, and Cubase is the...
