searched google and here but didn't find anything...?
When doing tracking, do you make a new project for each new song? I use Reaper, and was also wondering if it would be faster....I have always done all songs in one project per session. What do you do?
It sounds terrible so far compared to the stuff I've heard here. My last recording was just a single overhead and kick, so I'm starting to think about my band's recording this summer. I don't like the idea of a snare mic without tom mics, since it seems counterintuitive in terms of preferred...
Still sounds good in a quick recording, but haven't had time to do extensive testing. Something tells me this would effect the high end or some subtle effect? A friend told me he used it on vox and noticed distortion, wondering if I should ask for help shipping...
Any one have experience with...
I tried their non Bozzio heads and found they lost their resonance quickly, even more so than Remos. Evans I've found to be warm and modern sounding, Aquarians long lasting...\haven't tried the Bozzio attack heads.
I don't like the idea of using more than one, but on my last recording, my wuhan china was a rabid monster and I'm wondering how to fix that (I fixed it by....playing softer...like how you should ). Here's a big STUFF YOU to the drummer that stole my 22" wuhan china - that was much...

Thanks. Checked the cables already, am looking forward to being able to test the preamp alone later this week. It's all a fresh install. It also sounded like it could be software - sounded almost like playing a 48khz sample rate on a 44.1 project.
Here's the quick run down:
I was recording (and....overdriving) my Art MPA Gold for 3 days, and while doing vocal tracks got sporadic major digital sounding distortion on playback only, and my guitarist claimed to feel a hot mic cable that was running through the right channel of the MPA (I...
Or possibly if you're so used to pop style mixing bringing out the vocals too much, you could be mixing them that way on the monitors and then the level gets even higher on consumer speakers (some do this while others do the opposite and boost both ends of the spectrum).
ie a solution could...
Especially the snare...I just recently removed the plastic washers and replaced with metal ones...I noticed that on all the tuning how to's online it was too tight for the plastic washers to work. I tightened up both sides and now am getting the best sound I ever have, which the snares...
