I'm a guitar player and need some help. I'm looking for a Drum Machine that has good presets for shuffels and has good brush hit sounds...any suggestions?
Thanks
I'm a guitar player (acoustic mainly) and would like some advice about drum machine sounds. I'm not very familiar with drum machines...please advise me about machines that have:
Pre-set patterns using shuffel beats...
Contain good "brush" sounds.
Thanks for your help!
I've asked this question on 2 or 3 of the other threads in this forum and have recieved almost no replys....So here goes for this one. I have a one room home studio...My room has been treated and is quiet so the sound of the ADAT is loud...I record straight into the ADAT so I need it close...
I started this thread on The Rack forum and this may be a better place. I need the machine close by because I record direct to ADAT in my one room studio...so I need to view the meters and have access to the recorder. Has anyone built a "soundproofed box with a window" to quiet down an ADAT...
Thanks for the suggestion, but my studio is a one room thing. I generally record direct to the ADAT and need to view the meters. I would like to make this a DIY project. Has anyone built a "Quiet the ADAT box"?
Fredric, Thanks for the reply (the photos were very helpful).
If all I want to do is switch between 2 sets of speakers...why do I need a power supply? My idea is to go from my mixer to the power amp, connect the amp outs to the box and have the ability to check my mix on 2 sets of monitors...
Hello all, Does anyone have a link to plans for building a speaker switcher. I need a "box" that will allow me to hook my power amp to so I can switch between my large monitors and my small ones. It needs to be sonically transparent...I don't want to color the sound...just check my mixes.
Thanks
Thanks for the info regarding the patch bay. Speaker switching boxes..which one should I get...one that is transparent. I just want to be able to check my mixes on more than one set of speakers, so I need a switch that doesn't add anything to the signal.
Big Kenny,
Thanks for the reply...I went to the link and the reviews for the C-Control were not very good. I was hoping I could just use my patch bay...any problems with doing this?
Can I run the outs from my power amp (75 watts per side) to my patch bay, connect my speakers ( 2 sets) to the patch bay and use the bay to go back and forth between my different monitors. Will this set up affect any of the other equipment connected to the patch bay?
Thanks for the help.
Has anyone done a comparison of these two mics? Both are from PMI and since they have updated the Meek line, I was wondering how these two compare. My application is for acoustic instruments...guitar and mando.
I have noticed that more then one of the posters here have said that the RNC should not be used as a 2 buss compressor. Why? Would it work if you used 2 RNCs, one for each channel or is there some other reason?

I was told by a "famous" name here on the threads that, as he put it "the M-20 was and still is a mistake". I've been thinking about upgrading to a better ADAT and am confused...help
