    VF80- burning

I prefer to use the vf80 just for recording, it is very stable and sounds good, no fuss. I burn my tracks as wav files and take them to the PC for mixing and editing. That way, I can get a full 24 tracks out of the vf80, rather than have to mix 6 down to 2 all the time. Tube

Getting Tracks out as WAV files to PC

I stand corrected! I downloaded the VF160 manual from www.fostex.com and blow me down if you CANNOT save wav files to the CDRW! I am completely mystified at Fostex's decision to do this. What if you'd like to exchange tracks with another person and they didnt have a Fostex machine? I guess...

Getting Tracks out as WAV files to PC

surely if you have the VF160 with an onboard CDRW you can save your tracks as wav files? (I got the impression from your post that you have a CDRW in your machine?) Even the older VF16 could do that - so I'm sure you can with the VF160. If you have the CDRW, you can upgrade your software...

    Vf80-CD Question

m98tr you can actually record up to 24 tracks of audio for one song using the VF80. You can only however listen back to 8 at a time. You can burn all 24 of these tracks to a CD as wav files and then upload them into your PC....this is what I do. I dont use the vf80 much for mixing. If you...

So, the MR8 is worth $300?

uummm.....dont buy the MR8 unless you plan on using it in conjunction with a computer. That's the whole idea of this machine, it has limited memory but enables you to transfer files to a computer for further editing and CD burning etc. Buy the VF80 instead. Personally, nothing against Fostex...

    recording music onto the pc

if you are recording from vinyl you will need to ensure the turntable is plugged into a hi-fi amp and you take a send from the tape outs, as the output level direct from a turntable needs to be amplified enormously. t

Best way to get from VF80 to Computer

man you are SO wrong here, the CDRW will allow you to burn all your tracks (yes...all 24 of them) as .wav files onto a CD. You then load that up into your PC and simply import them into your mixing program. You can then do all your mixing and effects to the tracks in your PC which is a much...

    pop filter

its very easy to do this....midi out from the vf80 into midi in sr16. you have to set the vf80 to transmit MTC from the setup menu (read your manual) and set the sr16 to respond to external midi messages. when you hit play/rec start/stop the sr16 should do the same!

    Vf 80 to my pc

want my advice? forget the PC and just concentrate learning to use your VF80. If you are using the software to create your backing tracks, then do that first and simply hook up your soundcard output to the VF80 inputs to record onto a new track. If you are willing to persist with your PC...

VF80- How do you transfer your songs to a PC???

The easiest way is to save your tracks as .wav files in the VF80 using the CDRW. It is a simple process, and the machine names them all for you. You then simply import the wav files into your audio editing program of choice on your PC. You dont need any special software for this. The reason...

    Guitarport & MR-8 or VF-80

you need a plug to convert the RCA jack to a 6.5mm (1/4") normal guitar jack...like this: then simply use standard 1/4" mono patch cables to go from the guitar port to the recorder T FYI - TRS is Tip Ring Sleeve, which means there is three wires in the cable and not two. This is also...
