    Stop calling yourself a "PRODUCER".

    Stop calling yourself a "PRODUCER".

Hey, give him a break! He is from North Carolina! I don't even know what that means, but I can tell you that I have only been there once and it was one of the weirdest moments of my life!

    Perfect Demon

Intro reminds me of Rusty Cage/Soundgarden. I like that. Drums are buried in the mix a bit much as well as the vocals. The whole thing is a bit muddy. The heavier vocals sound a bit distorted. The overall vocal mix seems a bit too processed. I dig the song but a little more time on the recording...

    Oh no, not again.....

well, I have to feel a little silly now since AD is the program I use as well. I don't understand why I think they sound synthetic. Are all of the hits the same velocity? I had that problem for a while because my midi controller wasn't velocity sensitive so all of my beats sounded like a drum...

    Best monitors for under $150?

I have been using a pair of $70 monitors for almost three years and they have worked great. They are a damn site better than home stereo speakers or headphones. My mixes sound great. The cat is looking for monitors for under $150. Why would you pop onto a thread that is clearly labeled and start...

Any advice to songwriter about NEW recorders

I know a lot of studios that use computers and software. I don't know any that use stand alone digital multi trackers. I know of guys who spend hundreds and even thousands on software and have ditched it for Reaper. So you don't always get what you pay for. Go to www.reaper.fm and download it...

    Best monitors for under $150?

there always has to be one of those guys. Yeah, spend $1000 on your home studio monitors. That is feasible for most of the us here.

Non kick mics to use on kick drum

probably the 57. But none are going to be superior by all means. You could download the demo of drumagog and replace what ever sound is recorded with a good kick sample. Or replace it by hand with a good kick sample. It is time consuming but I have done it in a pinch.
