Midi Beginner - Boss DR-202 Dr. Groove

If it sound like I'm patronizing you, I'm not I'm just presuming you don't know. You need to know where your drum machines voices (sounds) are mapped (situated in cubase). If you can't be arsed reading the manual to tell you where the voices are mapped, try connecting your drum machine via midi...

M audio Interface is doing my head in

Well I've got a lovely G5 Mac to do some good stuff on. I bought an M-audio 1814 firewire interface and the bloody thing can't be recognised by my Mac. I have installed the latest driver but it still won't recognise the device. I've changed the firewire input and still it doesn't recognise it...

    Akai s2000

It's not the sampling that's the issue, it's more to do with the way the instructions are written in the manual on how to program multi timbral programs. The whole menu system is pretty poor.

What a twat these devices are to program and the manual misses out valuble pieces of information. If anyone can help me with this confounded piece of kit I would be eternally grateful.

    other types of sequencing

I like to use DNA sequencing, it's a reletively new concept but it is extremely accurate, no latency anomalies or Midi cable issues over 5 metres. You should look into it, the results can be quite breathtaking. ;)

    fucking akai s2000 sampler

The manual is pure unadulterated shite, I looked up the section for formatting the scsi drive I'm using with it and the index is all to cock. Where there should be a section on formatting there's a section on how to use the onboard effects. And for anybody who owns one and still has a manual...
