actually...i played a show with a loud ass pa system, which made it so i didnt have to scream so loud, and my voice was fine. It helped that i took a couple aspirine before we played too.
i redid the mix...i dont think the other was working anyways. Either way, i think this is gunna be my final one.

I know i dont have a chance to win, but it was still really fun mixing this song. Tell me what you all think of mine. I tried to keep it mildly simple, but there was just alot you could do with it. I think this is the best mix ive gotten so far, although im not completely satisfied with it. I...
gc lets you take shit home for 30 days i think. The only "music store" in town is a fucking joke here. If you pick up an instrument the dirt bag at the counter is like "these instruments are for selling not for playing"...no joke at all. And the guys who give lessons just sit there and talk shit...
just a thought that i figured would be the first question asked...what applications will you be working on? how many tracks do you need to record at a time? what do you need for routing capabilities? ect ect...i might not be the best to answer based on those questions because i dont have any...
my band just played a really small outdoor show yesterday with our amps, drums, and pa just for the vocals. I realized that we were in really bad need of some kind of monitor system cause really, all you could hear was your amp and the drummer. I have an old amp i bought off my cousin, its a...
my bands lookin to purchase a used pa system sometime around the corner. Well probably need somethin like 600 watts bridged mono or so cause we play pretty loud. Were gunna need it for practice and for some small (100-150 people max usually) shows. I was thinkin about hookin my cheap behringer...
allright, when i record one song at a time, i can do crazy screaming throughout the whole thing and not have a problem. But when i play at practice i get wicked bad headaches, and i all get light headed. Does anyone know of anyways to try and stop this from happening? Also, my "voice" goes out...
what type of vocals? male, female, deep, high? I dont know anything about these mics, but people usually need to know these things before they can tell you which one they think is better.
is the dm5 just an upgrade from the d4? or is it completely different, and if so, which one is better. Im looking to eventually make an electronic drumset for my studio, and was wondering which would be a better choice, especially on metal songs.
not sure if i posted this before cause my browser fucked up on me....anyways, has anyone tried the Samson 5KIT Drum mic kit? Are they any good for the money, and how do they compare to the shure pg mics? I could get them both for about the same price, and was wondering if anyone has used them.
does anyone know of some good dvd's that get involved in the recording process? Somethin that i can pick up some good tips from? Something like a studio documentrary.
i think it sounds real good. The snare could use a little more high end, but other than that, real good. Escecially for that style of music, sometimes its hard to get it to sound too defined due to the style of the music. But i also like a more lofi sound on alot of punk and hardcore...
Thanks for the reply. im playin punk. like...crazy punk, not homoerotic punk. Our bassist doesnt know anything about playing at steady volumes. So i think a compressor will learn him somethin good, I tell ya what boy. Hes playin a 4 string, and lookin for a fat sound with a well defined hi end...
ive been playing for about 5 years now and havent really seen an improvement in my playing either. Ive played in a couple punk bands that had very simple songs. The last time i realized i was getting good was when i joined my schools jazz band. Playing a different style helped me alot. Since...
