I dont think the recording is all that bad, the drums just sound like they might need to be tuned a little. And try to tighten up the sound of the kick.

you know...i was plannin on it, but then i figured, theyre all cheap, theyre all able to record a decent song, if i learn to use it good, ill be able to make just as good of a recording.

Wow, that sounds suprisingly good. Im thinking about buying one, simply because of the price, and then if i upgrade later, i can keep it around for a floor tom or bass cab mic. What did you use for a pre on that?

Ive been looking at getting mics for drums and stumbled upon the Superlux FK-2. I assume its a pretty shitty mic bases on the price, but ive never heard too much negativity about the brand. Does this mic sound like a monkey shitting on a bagel? or is it any good? Is it worth it to just buy a 52...

I want to do my multitracking in cubase and edit in acid pro, but i dont want to export each track individually. Is there anyways to export each track by itself at once? Without having to solo the track and export it, then do the same for the next?

So why does it seem like such a weird idea for people to use only 2 mics to record drums? Is it just the idea that more is better now adays? Just the ideals of consumerism?

Powered monitors are better, in my opinion, because the amp in them is designed for their purpose. Some amps can color the sound which completely defeats the purpose of buying monitors. I like my Bx5a's but ive only had them a week, and having got to do any recording on them, just mixing. Either...

Are the inputs mono or stereo? Like, can I send two mono direct outs, to one stereo input? Im thinking about overheads mainly. Could i send both the left and the right overheads to one input and have that track be stereo?, or do i have to send one to channel 1 and another to channel 2?

BAM!!! went to GC and picked up some Bx5a's for $260. Listenin to them right now, big step up from anything i had before.

Keep in mind the room is small, only 9x5 or so.
