Yeah, now how did those plate reverbs work again? It actually had something do with a metal plate and a spring or something right? That sound preset actually isn´t in the masterverb. It works with room settings. There is plate settings in sound forge´s built in reverb.

Once again (god I´m such a Pain) I recommend Wavearts Masterverb. Its great. You can get a free demo at www.directxfiles.com (and I have also found a trick to keep using the demo if anyone is intrested, not nice I know but I´m superpoor.)

I must plug the amazing Masterverb direct-x plugin. Its smooth, versatile and really widens the stereoimage. You can probably get it in vst version too...

Another thought... I found that new strings sound much more cold and metallic than older ones. A bit more sitar like. Its not the whole problem but it could come in play. I change strings very seldom, When I must (when one of my hardhitting friends have played them to pieces). I love the used...

If it is ground hum then use a parametric EQ and totaly remove the frequensy. This called a hum notch. If you are in argetina I dont know if your hum is at 60 hz like in the states or 50 hz like in Europe. Test, you will hear the dif clearly...

I found that Acid is troublesome when it comes to recording. I use 2.0 pro and has a crappy computer so when I record in Acid it "jumpes" and the tracks sometimes come out of sync. But I never had any special noise probs. You dont have the "stretch from tempo" box checked or something?
