I agree with this suggestion since there is impulses that hardly gives any reverb sound like the studios outdoor-ambiances but does give a stereo-feeling. You can choose how much spread you want too...

Well I do the most with it. I record, make drumtracks and mixdown. EQ and effects and such I do on each track in soundforge. Why you ask? Just feels better for me.

I wonder if anyone could say with "name-brand" mic sounds most simular to the budget mic TSM MT87? I ask this bizarre question cus I have access to mic-modeler and wonder what to use as source mic. The TSM is not one of the models in the list of available of course...

OK, now im just being evil it seems... The vocals sound a bit to quiet to me... Sure they are meant to be subtle, especially the "speaky" part. But, compared to the rythm instruments, the synth and the distorted guitar it seems a bit buried. Is it just me?

Thanks for the reply! I got the most basic of all large d. condencers - the TSM MT87 (man, its got low end) Sadly its only alternative number one that´s within my budget this month...

What is the cheapest alternative to a phantom power source you guys know of? May it be a mic preamp or maybe a standalone powersupply, I´m grateful for any suggestions. (I had a borrowed mackie mixer but had to give it back and I still need to power my mic)

Ehm, you could fix it all in soundforge before the overdubbing in ACID if you want. Just select the entire loop, copy it, put the "marker"-line in the end by clicking the go to end button. Start pasting til you have your four minutes. Save and then open it in ACID. You can do about the same in...

Flanging, and phasing for that matter are seldom good effect to use. Too electronic. (shudder...)

Im not shy to answer this... I have a stereo-condenser mic that cost me the equivalent of 30$, but lets see, it has no name.. shit. But its cheap! (radioshack style you know) Why dont you get yourself a minidisk or portable harddiskrecorder if you must record "in the field"? Let me guess...
