Hey dastrick!!! man were having our run ins tonight eh....lol.
It depends on which fast track he has.
M-Audio makes the
1. Fast Track USB.......this is the basic one.......which i think the op has.......If he has the older version it doesn't have phantom power.....the newer version does...
wow.......thats crazy???????????
I wonder if........"and this is just an idea".......... when an audio file is loaded into Sonar and your hard drive speed cannot keep up with the audio file playback if that would cause some type of glitch maybe??????
My tracks will sometimes click and pop...
Im just gonna echo a bit of what dastrick said.....
I had a Fast Track usb when i first started out, and dastrick is right,
1. plug your mic into your mixer
2. ensure phantom power is enabled on the mixer.
3. get a 1/4 inch TS cable........or guitar chord.....same thing...... and plug it...
Unless your used to a superior external mic pre, the pre-amps intalled in the M-audio fast track ultra 8r should sound very nice???????? M-Audio uses the "octane" preamps in that interface...........the same preamps that are in their external mic pre........the M-audio octane.
Is your Fast...
lol.......No were on the same page!!!!!
yes plugging a guitar into a line level input sounds like crap because of the impendance issues.
I always mic my amps, but know people that use the Behringer DI100,
1. plug the guitar cable into the DI input
2 use the XLR output from the DI into...
Welcome Aboard man!!!!!!
I would highly reccomend reading this in its entirety.

and practice practice practice!!!!!
Good luck!!!!!!
CHEERS!!!!
this is correct,,,,,,,,,,,,however............I would rather go the DI box route since it would be a little more professional. The instrument inputs on Audio interfaces and mixers were designed for consumer use. The appropriate or "proffesional" way to get the best sound would be to plug your...
I use Sonar 7XL and I am currently using the Asio 4 all driver which seems to work pretty well. If the track your recording on is getting a signal, then most likely you just need to hook up a set of appropriate cables to the "outputs" of the line 6 Pod so you can monitor. Im not sure what the...
I had this same problem, but i have the Delta 1010 rack mount. My problem was an issue in the delta 1010 control panel. "operator error". I had my outputs set as Monitor mixer and not 1/2.
If you have the money I would get the Fast Track Ultra. I think you will be very pleased with M-audio's Octane preamps that are in it. As far as recording your guitar directly into the Fast Track ultra........I dont see why this would be a problem becuase it has 2 intrument inputs intalled on...
I almost flunked out of choir.....lol
and DEFINETLY FLUNKED English. Thank god I finally grew up...........
It takes talent to sing, EXPECIALLY metal/rock to harder rock genres if your pipes aren't cut out for it no teacher could possibbly make you listenable. If someone actually can sing...
Hey man, I do rock vocals as well!!!!!!
Number one thing you have to focus on is your "voice" live in the moment when you are singing. Alot of times when people try to sing it comes out like garbage because they aren't "focused" they have some type of mental block which prevents them from...
If you like your amps sound, you might want to check/read up on micing your amp. A shure SM7B is an extremely effective mic while recording distorted amplifiers. You should be able to pick one up off of ebay for way less than a hundred bucks!!!!!
Good luck man
CHEERS!!!!!
I dont really know to much about drum maps, but i use a keyboard which controls the drums via midi.
I have Sonar 7XL. I wish I knew a little more as to how to use the drumkit and such, it would definetly open quite a few more doors for me if i did.
As far as EZ drummer goes though, I would...
