Behringer Ultra Voice Pro VX2000...any good?

jdrockweller - How do you find the VTB-1? I'm using my SP B1 mic just through my budget mixer and have never had a mic-pre. WOuld this make the mic sound a lot more warmer? Actually i'm not even sure how to hook it up?! Would i still use the mixer..like go from the pre to the mixer then to my...

First post in the clinic...here we go

auburncatfish- Yeah it was definately recorded in a bad room. I agree that with a bit of eq'ing or something it could scrub up a bit. I am thinking about retracking vocals as i have much better gear now..but somehow i dont think i could. It was about 2 years ago and my voice has changed a...

Behringer Ultra Voice Pro VX2000...any good?

Thanks for your response. Yeah definately looks alright for the price. I just thought i could probably use something that is a bit warmer than my Alto mixer for the pre's. I've got a Sp B1 and love the sound i'm getting but i feel the mixer is letting it down a bit. I might look into the SP...

Behringer Ultra Voice Pro VX2000...any good?

I just read a review on this in a mag but i was wondering if anyones heard anything about it? I'm using my mixer for my pre's and its only a cheap one. WOuld my vocals benefit much from using a seperate unit like this?

Rock song..need a bit of advice

Thanks for listening guys. I had a very hard time getting this finished...had probably 3 different chorus's vocal wise...ahh. Also remember that this recording was done with one mic plugged straight back into a sblive! with no pre or anything. Wish i had better gear then for this song. When i...

Rock song..need a bit of advice

Ok..this is the 3'rd song i've done..and was going for a more rocky sort of style. I think the intruments came out alot cleaner this time around but i'd like some suggestions. I feel it is still lacking something..not sure what. http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=2911&alid=-1...

Good vocal mic for live gigs?

Thanks Tony...i'll check it out. Bit nervous doing the gig as its my first time doing vocals. So i want to have a mic that i'm happy with how it sounds. Or my performance will definately suffer

    Pop wothout the formula......new song

Nice guitars..very punchy. Do not dig the effects on your vocals though. They sound too distant. I agree there should be something on there..it suits the song, just i think there could be another solution than what your using. Nice song too...love the start

First post in the clinic...here we go

THanks, i really didnt think anyone would like it..but since you guys seem to think it has some potential i might invest some time into cleaning it up. You've inspired me! It is one of my favorites as it was my first, but also coz it is soo laid back..the rest of my tunes are much more upbeat.

I did play around with the panning on the guitars and it does sit much nicer. The vocals are just doubled(sang twice through) and is recorded with a big reverb on. I do have it pure though so i might have a listen. I'll repost it if i can improve it!

Another track for those keen intellectuals...

Thanks for listening. Yeah i'm a bit unimpressed with the drums too..i was having a hard time finding some decent samples. But with a bit of eq'ing i guess i could neat them up a bit. Thanks for your advice!

Another track for those keen intellectuals...

Ok..after high demand..not, here is my second track... http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=2911&alid=-1 Its named, 'In the middle'. After my first song, i decided i needed to do something with my drums..as whoever listened to it would testify. So i checked out Fruity loops. This...

fprod south-- Thanks man..yeah it does kinda seem to drag out a bit..but in the background its alright?! Guitar out of tune..yep dont doubt that! You'd be the first one to pick it though! And drums..yes yes the drums...ppl either like it or hate it on this one. Me, i've heard it that many times...

Good vocal mic for live gigs?

Thanks for your suggestions guys..much appreciated. Definately a lot of mics to look at..the peavy looks nice too, thanks Chess. I definately wont bother with in-ear monitors..although it would be sweet and would let me use the B1. Thanks for the thought though DJL..i couldnt really afford them...

First post in the clinic...here we go

Actually, i just went back and had a look at it( i still had the tracks for it) and noticed a lot of wierd stuff i did. I put the solo g's to about 50% and they did sit alot better..also just playing around with the vocals a bit..they are pretty deep and make it hard to sit nice with kick. MIght...

Haha..sweet, love to hear that. Dont actually know if i can take the effect off the vocals..i think somehow i recorded them with the verb on..hmm, have to check it out. Hey you should hear the drums with a sub! Wanna know the funniest bit? I was using soundfonts through my sblive and i dont...
