    Absolute Reaper Noob

REAPER is the best. Although there are a few things that were better in earlier versions, it is sweet, especially for $40 bucks. It's a great investment.

I'm looking for a mic that isn't accurate

I sold it immediately after I got the BG1. No comparison. I had an akg 414 xls for a short period of time, and was very unimpressed with it in relation to it's pricetag, and didn't find it that bright. Perhaps you're thinking of the TL-II? I think the TL-II has a presence boost specifically to...

I'm looking for a mic that isn't accurate

I'm looking for a new mic for vocals. I've come to realize I don't like neutral mics on my voice. I'm currently using a v67, which is ok, but a tad dark, but easily beaten by my new aquired Rode NT2 ($100 off craigslist!). I like the presence of the NT2, it really compliments my voice, but am...

    headphone amps

I second getting one of these. 4 channels, plenty of gain, and suprisingly very low noise.

    set necks-help with tuning?

thanks for the info- it probably doesn't help that the neck is cracked at the heel! I'm thinking of getting an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus

    set necks-help with tuning?

my guitar has a bolt-on neck and I think it is relatively unstable. If I press down on the neck a little too hard while playing a chord or something, it gets noticeably out of tune. I have to play really really light for the neck not to move/for it not to go out of tune. Would getting a set-neck...

    electric guitar direct recording?

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought sailr322's comments made no sense:confused:

    FS: MoreMe's - $25 (shipping included)

I think MoreMe's are a great way to have isolation headphones for very cheap, but they sound really bad in general, so don't use them for their accuracy. Then again, headphones should NEVER be used for accurate playback of sound.

Cleaning up string "scratching" sounds in acoustic recordings

I love fret noise. It really adds to a piece. I wouldn't try and actively take it out if I were you. If you were trying to remove fret noise, it would have to do more with how you played guitar than the equipment used to record it. A mic isn't going to make any real difference.

Can't decide on either privia 310 or privia 110 maudio keystation or axiom 49 key

depends on what you're recording. I have a 61 and have realised I could have done fine with the 41, especially since it has a transpose button that allows all 88 keys to be reached. In fact I wish I had a 25 or 41 instead of a 61:cool: takes up less space.

Can't decide on either privia 310 or privia 110 maudio keystation or axiom 49 key

yeah, none of those keyboards are alike at all. The privia's are the most excellent digital pianos there are, nothing can beat their action, not even keyboards 5 times it's price. But it has no assingable faders/knobs, and doesn't even come with wheels. There is also no MIDI THRU jacks. I have...

    preamp oppinons!

I've owned a DMP3, an RNP, and a DAV BG1. I currently use the DAV BG1, and will never sell it, even if I win the lottery. I can't get over the thing. They are right in your price range.

if you want to try out amp modeling, this is the time!

I'll admit, I felt a little uncomfortable typing it out. Saying it outloud, I wouldn't think twice about it, but typing it truly feels strange.

I need help deciding on a digital piano.

I second the privia. Can't say I agree with the motif. Well actually, it depends on what you're looking for. In my opinion, the privias have the best action to ever be found on a keyboard, but they are strictly digital pianos. Motifs are workstations. It just depends on what you want.

    weighted but not 88 keys?

The Privia series is the only decent thing casio has ever done, if think it was a suprise to everyone when it came out:cool: I just can't get over how good the action is.

    weighted but not 88 keys?

I love my axiom 61 very much, but the action is NOT what I would call even "semi weighted". It may have waterfall keys, but I have felt better action on a 100 dollar radioshack keyboard (I'm serious, I work at an old radioshack) You'll be hard pressed to find a keyboard with less than 88 keys...

if you want to try out amp modeling, this is the time!

no wonder it's out of stock! it doesn't state that it is b stock or refurbished though, that kind of makes it a little sketch. I thought retailers, by law, are not allowed to advertise a product bellow a certain price (hence the "too low to list, call us for price!" deals) and 150 bucks seems...
