What size is the slab? Are you building it yourself or having it built? Does that include HVAC? How about toilet? --MIKE

Well I just graduated from Ball State University, (Muncie IN) (http://www.cs.bsu.edu )last May, with honors from their computer science dept. Each year, the seniors do projects in groups of 4 dealing with real world comptuer science applications. These students have all taken calculus, physics...

    MOTU & Win2K

I have it working fine in 2K and XP. The drivers from Nov work best IN XP. Any edition works fine in 2K. The website says they work in 2k/XP right on there? You are talkinga bout teh PCI324 right? --MIKE

    studio building soft, EASE 4.0

Idea I know of a Univeristy that would possibly be interested in designing a new RoomTune for you that uses curved surfaces and irregular shaped rooms. If you get back to me very soon, I could get the project on the plate this year, at no cost to you. It is simple Calculus and Physics and...

A good multi-output (24 or more) sound card??!!

I second the MOTU 2408 vote. YOu can hook three of them together for amazing 72 channel simultanious interface. That's quite a few:D --MIKE

    Drums mic kits

Im not exactly sure, something under 500 ideally. The less the better, because this cuts into budget for other items, such as a new preamp and such. --MIKE

    Drums mic kits

Hey, I am in need of some drum mics, and I have been looking at kits that various brands are selling. Ideally I would have 57 on toms, snare, Sennheiser MD421 on kick and a couple of overheads, but I don't know if the budget will permit that. Anyone have experience with the Nady, Audix or...

    Motu Mtp Av

Anyone using an MTP AV in windows XP? I have heard they are difficult to setup. I am thinking of getting a serial version one because they are cheap on the used market. I need the clock in them and wouldn't mind the huge midi i/o also. I am just curious about problems and good things that...

    Nuendo inquiry

It's probably an issue with your sound card software rather than nuendo. Nuendo is pretty picky about ASIO drivers and all that good stuff. Check your software for the sc and see if there is a choice for clock. Set it to internal if possible. That should solve your problems....I think. --MIKE

can great recordings be made using 16 bit?

I'm in for the theme park. I think there could be many great rides. Communication Breakdown, where it puts you in this world where cell phones and pagers don't work...ahhh. Immigrant song -- the ride puts you on a raft from cuba trying to make it into the us without being eaten by sharks and...

    Clocks

nevermind I found them on MF. I guess I was looked up something different last time. Anyway, is the MOTU MTP AV a decent (at least usable) clock?

    Clocks

Craw, did you try the MTP thing? How are the results? I am thinking about getting one because I need a clock and more MIDI I/O, and hey two birds, one stone. --MIKE

Ok, I betcha can't beat this system. If you can, tell me about it! :)

I am not sure about the JoeMeek as I have none of their gear. The At4033 is a mic by audio-technica. It's ok, it used to be an old standby, but since then many companies have come out with mics cheaper and better. The MD421 is by Sennheiser. This is a dynamic mic and is one of the best...

Ok, I betcha can't beat this system. If you can, tell me about it! :)

I think the 002 is the way to go. It is new it will be awesome, and in Nashville, PT is the only way to go. Guys who use Nuendo/Cubase get laughed at. I am not kidding. I know SEVERAL national release records that have been produced using only PTLE and some plugins. Cubase SX does rock...

Ok, I betcha can't beat this system. If you can, tell me about it! :)

More Tips Well since the 002 is going to be 2k at mars, I would probably order it from somewhere else and have it shipped in to save on the ungodly amount of TN sales tax. 200$ on that unit alone. Ouch. If I recall right tax around nashville is 9.75% now. If you can get a computer for...

    Talk Box........

It is the same in every respect if you get a talkbox that is based on the original Heil one. THe new ones with mic inputs and all that stuff will probably work too, though I haven't ever used one. I just build them instead of buy them. It isn't very difficult at all. Do a google search on a...
