    Dual AMDs (EQ Mag computer)

As far as a link for the setup, I don't have one. I looked for one a while ago, but then just decided to go buy that EQ magazine. I am using dual Athlon MP 1800+. The computer flies, I haven't taxed it too heavily on audio yet. I have done 24 tracks with a porbaby 12-15 plugins running...

    Dual AMDs (EQ Mag computer)

Ok, so I built that system from EQ mag (Dual AMD MPs, gig RAM, dual monitors, the works) I want to know how I tell that both processors are working and stuff. When I go to the win control panel->system->HW->device manager I see two processors listed. The little graph of CPU usage though is...

Soon to change from WinXP to Win2000...

MOTU Thing 24 track stuff Can you have more than 24 tracks at once in XP, like hooking up 3 2408s for 72 inputs? I was thinking about getting more boxes for my setup. If I can't do it, I will save my money. (I asked this here because earlier someone had mentioned the 2K limitations)

Once again, Linux, just so damn cool, but no one in the audio world wants to agree other than Midiman. Stupid MOTU.

    Ausrock Desk

I have been looking at Ausrock's console desk he made at longsoughtfor sound website and I keep wondering about dimensions and whatnot. Is there any chance that you could post dimensions and any instructions? I am an ok woodworker so I just can't justify spending 1200 on a desk. If there...

    Rackmount computer chassis

Even without the clips they stay in. Just hold them while the door shuts. we have many servers at work turned sideways and do that. Another solution is to get a cdrom drive that has an input like a car stereo. Just slip it in and it accepts it. Those are cool, though I can't recall seeing...

Where the Heck are the Traveling Wilburys?

Often you can find it on cassette. I have it on cd, but got it back in the day. I would suggest used stores and of course, hitting up friends that could have had it from original print. Or check KaZaa or whatever the P2P of the week is. (Not trying to be flamebait) It is out of print. --MIKE

    Mystery Mixer

Looks old and not so 'vintage'. Looks kind of custom because of the individual plates for each jack. Also, It looks old becasue the XLR connectors are backwards, like male on the board (unless they were all outputs) should be female inputs on a mixer, though years ago, (long before my time)...

Mark of the Unicorn and stuff...

The mkII will go on blowout soon probably for around 500$. I would probably get that becauset eh MK3 is a bit much still. I am pretty sure I will pick up another MKII later this year when the price drop hits. God Bless new technology. The 2408 works wonderfully. It comes highly recommended...

    CEP2.0 and MOTU 828 issues

As far as I know, No. There isn't a way to get CEP to use WDM. You need the MME goods. I am not positive, but that's how I run my MOTU 2408 with CEP. --MIKE

Anyone running a MOTU PCI-324 on an AMD board? Iknow a while ago MOTU said no AMD and then they said IWILL KK266 was ok, but that board is almost 2 years old. I was wondering more about the newer Gigabyte boards, Soyo boards and Asus boards. Please post comments for MOTU stuff and AMD! I am...

I just wanted you to know I read all that stuff. Iwill print this out and call my contacts by the end of the week. Some things might be near impossible, some might not be. I say start with everything you could think of, and then allow them to take out what they consider is too much. (within...
