okay...that's friggin' cool....and needs to be put in the Studio Building/Display section too so those people can see it!!!
nicely done! I'm interested in a "how to" on that.
I wouldn't worry about trying to get a stereo sound too much at the recital.
I think I'd just mic the flute with one of the omnis....and put the AT on the piano (I'm assuming it's a grand?). That's the easy solution.
The Cascade is a figure 8 isn't it? Maybe throw that middle of the house if...
sorry i'm late in responding to this.
well, it's not a comprehensive list of EVERYBODY. It's mostly of people who have responded to e-mails from the counseling department asking how they have been doing and where they are currently working at. I know this because the guys I know (and myself)...
i probably use EQ more than anything.
although lately I've been using reverb a lot more.
ideally i would love to say "none of the above."
One of my favorite examples of no EQ/Compression on a mix: http://bruceamiller.us/b_main/03_mixes.html
you need the Digitranslator option in order to export/import OMF's

if you don't want to spend the money, you can just bounce out each track individually.
converters are spotty up in the 96-192kHz range.
not only that but it also taxes your computer's CPU/memory/hard drive the higher the sample rate. Most of us here recommend just leaving it at your target sample rate/bit depth.
lots of this has been discussed at great length. Just do a quick search. A couple good threads (and a few that talk about Full Sail in general)

btw...
I've never had any major problems with RAM. But I don't buy the cheap stuff either...nor do I buy the most expensive. I'd just read over the reviews on new egg and see what other people think. They're usually spot on.
What was the soundcard? Onboard?
I did a test that I posted around here awhile back of sending a 17kHz tone out my stock card and into my PT system and just the playback introduced so much extraneous frequencies.
just trying to keep busy. Things were slow for us for awhile due to the economy...
exactly what I usually do. No point in adding a resource hog that's just going to add unwanted artifacts if I can reduce as much as possible to start with an EQ plugin. Typically I notch/filter out everything I don't need (highs/lows/hum/whines) then run the rest through one of the NR plugs...
i meant an audio sample...do you have a portion of just the hum...or even just a 10 second clip with hum/noise and talking to see if a NR plugin is even worth the effort?
PM me if you need an e-mail address to send it to.
gotta sample of it? I'll throw it through some of my noise reduction plugins and see what I can come up with for you. I love being able to use those things when I can (I mean, I paid for 'em...so might as well use 'em)
;)
hums and high pitched whines are the easiest to get rid of since they...
the term you're actually looking for is "does the 003 function as a stand-alone mixer"
the answer is no. The Digi 002 however did. Unfortunately when they upgraded to the new version they found that many consumers weren't using the standalone mode. So they scrapped it for other features. If...
it's because the TV shows have dynamics...while the commercials don't. If you're going from a show like 24 where the actors go from whispering in one scene to blowing up cars in another, the engineers want to keep that dynamic range in there. It's what gives drama. Then when you pop into the...
not at my studio (which is in your backyard ;) )...I turn all "normalized" audio way down anyway. It's really pointless to send it normalized as I prefer to work with the raw recordings. I'm more interested in the RMS levels and how my levels will translate in the analog world (ie. when bumped...
