I don't get bad mixing days, I must be one of the lucky ones as I am consistent in my work from day to day. I can get tired as everyone does so I suggest taking regular short breaks every few hours to give your ears a rest.

Try a compressor if your vocals are getting hidden at times, maybe volume automation might be needed as well if your vocal performance is not tight in the dynamics. I think it is a good idea, save all your songs then after say a month or 2 listen back to all 60 songs and see if you can hear yourself getting better as a song writer. No vocals yet? boo :)

Drums sound a bit more upfront now. Id suggest boosting the kick more, boost the high mids and cut the low mids on the kick for more punch so it cuts through the mix more. Guitars sound better more meat in them! It's getting there, once the bass has been recorded could make all the difference...

Yes I think the new guitars did change the way the low mids sound.

I would suggest bouncing the mix to a stereo file then save it. You can then import this into your DAW and work on mastering it, but I don't suggest mastering your own mixes unless all you are doing is adding some compression and limiting if wanted/needed. G

After reading some reviews on it, it seems like a good buy for the very low price. I wouldn't say it would be as good as an sm57 or sm58, it sounds a little sharp in the highs to me, which could cause problems when recording guitars. G G

I wouldn't suggest getting that mic for recording anything really. If you are looking for a budget mic then go for an sm57. G

Didn't get a chance to listen to the first link as it is a dead link now. Ok the low end is too much, it needs tightened up, sounds very unbalanced as a whole in the EQ. A good remix will produce great results as I can hear the recordings are good enough. G

Guitars are a bit too grizzly and a tad thin although I know punk style goes for thin guitars. Why use amp sims when you have your amp? The drums should come up especially the kick, maybe bring down the Ohs a little. Not a bad mix. G
